Just watched episode 5 and 6. There's something interesting that I think is very real. We have scenes where the family openly curses and mocks a deity and their fear subsides, then we have scenes of a child being taken away while the family drowns in fear and sorrow.
There is something psychological that happens when humans induce fear withing communities and from religion. I believe most of it originated from good intentions, of which we now call traditions and superstitions. What i'm speaking about is not the simple haunted house stories parents makeup so you don't go poking around, I'm speaking about the fear induced when deities are involved. The ego you gain after challenging a deity must be huge. You receive an adrenaline rush, but what follows can be impaired judgement, complacency, unawareness and vices.
I'm not one of religious faith, but I believe there's a lot one can learn from scriptures, in terms of morality and how one can live life.
Putting that aside, although it's difficult... Most of the blame do fall on the father for the lost of his child. People blame themselves because there is a natural instinct to take accountability. People will say it's not his or the mother's fault, however, someone is always at fault, whether it's directly or indirectly. Kids mature faster when they lived difficult lives. The mother here hasn't really matured enough for what she has gone through, and I feel like that has a lot to do with the male love interest. He enabled and pushed aside her faults, causing her to continue and not learn from them. "When will you grow up?" is what her mother asked her.
This is where the writing strays a little bit from reality. I think the person at fault always knows it in their heart. In reality, I think it would destroy either the mother or father, possibly cause them to go down a path of faith, insanity, resentment, suicide, divorce or something else. A big change should follow... Maybe she resigns from deputy chief 🤷♂️ or he finds someone to manage the boat
Finally something good. Just watched the first episode, if this is an ounze of what's to come, I'm all for it. Kdramas have been so trash recently, thankfully and hopefully not this

I understand your point about the blackmail and trying to get out of a difficult situation, but that's the problem, it's making another person fall so you can take less of an impact when you both fall together. imo it's selfish and inconsiderate... but I vaguely remember this so it doesn't really matter now
I'm like 20 episode in and I just need to say that I agree with other commenters that mention it was hard to finish. The drama lacks what is necessary to pull you in once the banter, from the two leads, was taken away. It shifted from if the leads get together, to lets poke the relationship with a stick and watch how it pointlessly unfolds.
The conflicts in the drama are like lit matches that fizzled out. I'm closer to dropping this than putting it on hold, only because I don't have time to revisit unfinished series. 7.2/10
Don't waste your time, it's not that good. probably a 6/10. The slow burn made it almost unbearable, and it burned extremely slow. The useless extended scenes could have been cut out. The audience is able to understand what's happening, it's nothing too crazy. Nothing gets resolved until the end, and I can't even call that a resolution, we arrived back where we started.
You understand the character motivation. You understand how he arrived at his decision. That's all the film is. The film should have been better executed.

I did not care one bit for the couple... just wondering when this episode of ghost busters will be over. I'm so glad the actors hair can stay dry underwater 🙄 and what bs is this I'm watching, didn't FL say herself she is recovering her energy better at the house.
