Wow the editing is very bad, especially towards the end the story keeps jumping here and there, sometimes it's hard to understand what's going on or how the story suddenly get to that point, but considering that they cut off the episodes from 70s to 30s i guess it's pretty understandable.. don't know for what reason though.

This usually happens with palace drama. For example Story of Yanxi Palace or Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan, both are palace drama and all the concubines wear same dresses through the whole drama. Maybe this is for the audience to be able to easily differentiate each character.

In China it's very common, you can find people from all age using audio messages haha

I think originally the princess wanted he shou ye to be immortal so he could accompany her and not die, leaving her all alone (as she said previously that all the people that she loved had died). But after she realized what she had done, how he shou ye also changed his nature and bringing calamity to innocent people, i think she regrets her actions and so she decided to kill him and herself. (Although another plot hole, she clearly knows he cant die why bother xD)

I actually went back and search for the mermaid part and yes i did not read wrongly xD by the subtitle princess said she ate mermaid flesh which makes her immortal and so she could be the vessel for the snake. Now that you said the original dialogue had no mention of that, okay i understand.... Lol

Btw adding to serpent's belly was full of rocks, it's also very clean! xD

Few questions if anyone can enlighten me please :
- the hair demon said finally she was released, who released her and why?
- i thought Boya used his blood to awaken the vermilion bird, doesn't that mean he died? How did he came back alive after the fight?
- so the vermilion bird in appearance of Boya (assumably because he used his own blood to awaken it) became Qing Ming's spirit guardian, but only for that one fight?
- i also thought the princess is immortal because she had mermaid, but apparently it's because of the snake..?
- and just how did Qing Ming teleport into the snake's belly when he had not seen it or went there xD (this last question does not need to be answered, just wondering for myself lol)

But afterall, i think it's a good show!

i saw a theory saying there might be a season 3 which centers around Yang Se-jong due to his cameo :3 hopefully it's true!

Though we might have to wait a little while for another season as it took 4 years from season 1 to 2 T_T

Is it just me or the cinematography of this drama is very good? I dont really understand but i just feel every scene is very beautiful..
Also, OST by Jooyoung is just sooo good!

Currently at episode 27 - Personally i like Lu Yiyao and Cai Siyu's story more lol but it's a pity that after 6 years suddenly Lu Yiyao likes Cai Siyu without any explanation or story.. like he found her at Weibo and that's it, now he likes her.
Oh i still enjoy all of their scenes but i think it'll be better if they got some back story especially after how they ended 6 years ago.

More than his hypocrisy, its his stubbornness and self knowing self righteous that really bothers me -.- and also, how it only took him to see the imaginary ending to realize his wrongdoings!
I was like, dear heaven king why didnt you show him this 1000 years ago oh but then we wont have this fantastic drama so ok lol
And without what he did to LHJD, as disturbing as it was, i guess Xuanji will not be born, and what will our Sifeng do :'(

I actually could not hate Yuan Lang, like ok youre the villain so you may act like one lol and i love his fan, i think thats a pretty good design

I only watch around 10 episodes of Eternal Love, but as much as i know he's one of the protagonist of the series so no hahah

Well now that you say it, thats true lol but throughout the series i got tired every time he came up with his way of thinking. I much prefer Yuan Lang, at least he's true to himself ?
But well we cant separate Hao Chen from the series, his character is needed to complete the story!

I see.. i was curious because we have Donghua Dijun in Eternal Love and now Bailin Dijun in LR, so i guessed Dijun must have been a known high position in Chinese mythology :D

Btw just wondering, what is Dijun position in Chinese mythology? Is he like the second person in charge after the Heaven King? Thanks!

Love and Redemption is my favorite drama from 2020.. i really like Teng She and Wu Zhiqi character!
That Hao Chen/Bailin Dijun def has problem with his head/mind. His presence goes beyond evil, it's actually disturbing -_- it'll be a big trouble if he is a real god lol
