VIKI is pretty lame for asking fans to sub dramas. My Taiwanese friend payed the similar subscription price on LINETV, but she could always watch dramas with mandarin subs as soon as it released and it's the same time as VIKI. I had to ask her what exactly they are saying for knowing the story. Too bad I don't know either mandarin or Korean..
Because LGBT shows are still taboo in South Korea, the producers wanted to do a small production, get feedback,…
I don't mind if it's a small production but cutting it into 8 parts are annoying. It's just like Red Ballon and Because Of You for gaining more views. I know if they just release it as a film, they wouldn't make much profit and some platforms wouldn't even consider buying the broadcasting rights. But just from the perspective of a regular viewer, it's a torture.
This kind of plot better suit in the format of a film. But just like other 10 minute dramas, they wanna make money from views so we ended up getting this kind of treatment every week.…It's just like watching a Netflix teenage film get cut into 8 eps. Ugh…
I don't know why people are surprised when it comes to taejoo, i think he liked gook since a long time, he was…
Pretty obvious. Just like what I said before.. we've have all seen this kind story in gay dramas before. But the Korean production and acting are saving it and making it look sophisticated.
it a hit , but in South korea it's not democracy and it's not liberal trough gays...so it can't be a "hit" in…
Christian is the biggest religion in South Korea - almost 20%, even more than people who believe Buddhism. People may think it's low compared to other western countries but it's huge when you compare to other Asian countries, which, most of them, have only 1-10 %.

Taiwan and Thailand also worship Confucianism, especially people with Chinese descent. From what I've known, China's pubilc is okay with LGBT but it's the communist government that tries to control everything and since Chinese people love their government for every possible reason so they tend to downplay the importance LGBT - that is, NOTHING can affect the stability of the government. As for South Korea, if you pay attention to the groups that protest every gay parade in South Korea, you would know it's mostly Christians and other religious groups. I still remember Chrsitians sent many letters to the TV station that aired "Life Is Beautiful", saying they're gonna boycott the station and withdraw the funds they gave to the TV station. Since then, no more gay couples in dramas of nationwide television.
it's so good that it's a tortur to watch it before it's ending, because we know it's not gonna end good...also…
It's pretty obvious they like each other. But I really don't like the character of the rich kid since it's a very typical image in many gay dramas 20 years ago - a closeted gay/bi showing his jealousy and resistance of sexuality by controlling and acting "straight." We all know they're gonna realize their true feelings in the end but the character developmemt has been done many times. before.
The award of the worst asian drama related company goes to.... VIKI! The show is a Viki original, but they don't…
MODC got subbed as soon as it got released. So maybe they wanna prevent everything from leaking since it's Japan's product. They're so serious about copyright, etc.
I just read this whole thread on twitter considering whether Where your eyes linger is a bromance or bl and I…
True. But we can expect that from a Korea management company which just wanna promote their new artist. I can sense that even if his popularity blows up because of this show, his management company won't let him mention this show again when he gets his next role in a formal Korea drama.
before.
2020 is still very bland in terms of BL for me.
