this has to be my favourite novel by qian shan cha ke, i genuinely don’t know how they can do a good job if it’s only 36 episodes considering the novel is 200+ chapters. i’m also worried about the casting… as of now, i can’t think of anyone who would be suitable to play xie jing xing or shen miao. because of the author’s writing my expectations are probably too high

nah, but at least someone a bit younger because both xie jing xing and shen miao are fairly young. as much as i love reba i just don’t see her playing shen miao

i wouldn’t say she’s naive, maybe a bit dense but her character was very likable in the novel imo. there’s also not much comedy in the novel, it’s more serious so i’m hoping they won’t mess it up in the drama

i read the novel and it’s really one of my favorites. i wouldn’t call it silly or childish tbh, it’s not comedy either. hope the drama is just as good
