Why the hell is this drama rated so high? It was one of the most annoying kdramas i've watched, such lazy writing, literally the whole story was running on a loop, i could not get beyond halfway with this one. One of the most over-rated crap here on MDL, probably because of the leads' popularity. Dont bother watching this brainless shit.

Spot on. The writers must also be given credit in framing the interactions with Hwang Shi Mok, where other characters always have a measured approach while communicating, as they are subtly aware that something is atypical about him, but nothing that altogether creeps them up, where they end up conversing in a repulsive manner, which is how characters with emotional disorders are usually portrayed, where the characters are mostly exhibited from an outsider's point of view, rather than actually providing a first person perspective about how the person actually understands, fears and tackles his emotional limitations. Splendid writing and equally splendid acting.
This one is pretty underrated. I've seen far worse dramas having ratings around 8.5. A very well balanced romantic drama which is sort of hard to find in romantic kdramas as they are always treated with generous amounts of cheesiness making them cringeworthy, whereas this one is just a breezy, no frills, heartwarming kdrama. And in order to make such a drama it needs to be backed up by good actors and respectable character development, which are cheese in the trap's primary strengths.
The best series by a long distance this year. Such matured handling of content. Jo Seung Woo is beyond perfect, the most brilliant performance i have ever witnessed in a kdrama, Just cannot get better than this. Going to be very tough to trump this one for the year. Definitely spending time for posting a review.
