Wdm i have read this novel so many times before the drama started filming but i have already re-watched this drama more than 5 times...after the drama ended my thoughts day and night only had SZ and DJX like literally for so many days even till now i am finding it hard to get over this drama that i am restraining myself from searching about it neither on youtube Google or Twitter I think i cane here to write a review and try to give myself closure from this drama😭
This and WIFTY were my first Cdramas. I thought HL was very cozy and I appreciated its lack of over-the-top drama…
I think you need to give some time to your relationship with your partner to form a solid bond before meeting with parents... if you look into timeline they were dating for 6-8 months not even a year before he met SZ'S parents You are in relationship with your partner first so your first priority is your partner then is the blessing of parents Plus DJX never intended to breakup with SZ just because of SZ parent's disapproval in the first place as he was extremely serious about his relationship with SZ from the beginning I also think He also didn't thought that SZ parents would actually mind his overall "situation" Plus i think this scenario was cut out in the drama but it was in novel and reuters that SZ parents officially met DJX when he was meeting SZ infront of her house( not the one was shown in the drama..the drama one was his second time meeting her parents as her bf) and they invited him and overall made him feel as if he was SY's friend not SZ's bf and then her father told him he was surprised too she him as sz bf n how he wasn’t happy with him being her bf but they didn't talk much as SZ was still there so DJX planned a 2nd meeting wuth her parents Some scenes were deleted while some new scenes were added
my story with HLso it was a random day I was Searching for HL manga updates and I came across Hidden Love MDL page at first I was confused to see why HL name is related with a drama site name and then I realized it was getting adapted to a dramaI was shocked 😲 as I didn't knew online novels in China has the chances to get adapted into a drama 😳 like I was blown out of mind then I saw the 📅 rumored dates of HL filming and then saw the casting ZL had the perfect face and overall aura to be SZ and then there was CZY at 1st I was skeptical because at that he had our secrets as his drama and he looked very very opposite of DJX as in our secrets he was a high-school boy so I was like hmmm interesting...THEN CAME THE 1ST REUTERS IMAGE I was blown away CZY was THE PERFECT DJX now at this point nobody could convince me that it would have been some other actors btw if you didn't know the 1st reuter was the mall scene where she got her periodsand damn they were like the perfect SZ and DJX I could ever imagine so it is funny when I went back to read the comments a year ago on HL and let me tell you what happened when HL filming dates were just rumored 1)ZL fans didn't want her to star in this drama because of Shen yin she was someone involved in this drama i think a producer2) people didn't like CZY as DJX and wanted some other actors3)people were saying as it is a modern rom com it wouldn't be famous or hit as costume dramas4) some though SZ was a selfish character the support for this drama was built very slowly 🐌 but many started showing support for HL when the Reuters for HL got viral on Chinese SM and Twitterso to see just how everything worked out excellently at the end makes me very very proud of the actors the director and everyone involved in this drama including the HL community on mdl and twitter

Oath of love broadcasting got delayed for more than 1 year for just because of censorship If this happened to HL i just can't imagine what would have happened to me
