Current heaven realm life is a bit boring. 1st life also started very dreary then it got exciting when we got the politics plot. 2nd life now and I’m not laughing at the comedy. Hopefully when the angst comes, it becomes good

Ok, this picked up at episode 7 when the politics kicked in and the female lead started to feel in love. Thank gawd. Episode 1 - 6 was a stretch!

xiuming didn’t exist in the novel. He’s a filler to get it to 36 episodes. I’ll let someone else answer the original 7 lifetimes, I can’t remember all but they were so good and funny! the snow death scene was also angsty for the male lead

Omg. Same! I’m a fan of the novel. It was such a laughtrip. This one is not hitting any comedic punches (aside from tiger and boar story). Ahuhuhuhu. Is it the same script writer as LBFAD? The LBFAD was so different from the novel but it was a welcome change because everything is more cohesive.

#3 FL is not natural funny, sad to say for me but I laughed out loud with the Tiger and Boar story. They tried to have some starry love comedy but the comedic punch was just not hitting.

Oh, I do miss those days when I was a fanatic “shipper”. LOL. If anyone remembers fushigi yuugi between the emperor and tamahome and then you get a sprinkle of nuriko, who you gonna choose? LOL.
