I'm sorry, but to say that there was never an intention to have a second season of KP is naive. Just analyze the end of the series, ALL the cores had loose ends, in addition to the fact that the story continues in the novel.
In fact, a second season was never explicitly confirmed, for several reasons something like that is not confirmed immediately, but due to copyright problems with the authors (and the problem with actor x) they gave up on the idea of building the possibility of a second season with .
The fact that mhok was willing to give up his feelings and put himself in a cupid position really made me go crazy about this episode. He loves day SO MUCH it's surreal. (and I love him for that).

Mhok is genuinely a good person and is open to understanding how day feels and this is SO cool. He could just be a bad boy who wants money, but he ISN'T, because he has a background, he also has a story....just like Day.
the scene with the little fishes in the aquarium made me cry, it's a parallel to their relationship, after all.
Anyway, the story is BEAUTIFUL, they deserve the world. <3
