There actually wasn’t much on Xing Hua in the novel. You only know bits and pieces about her in a special epilogue. She was a Princess. She loves and cares for her half-brother, the Crown Prince, and was willing to poison (but did not) the Empress Dowager so her brother could have what he only ever wanted, which was Cui Shiyi. She did not have a good ending in that life. In the present day, she is Zhou Wenxing, half-sister of Zhousheng Chen. She also loves and cares for him, and was willing to harm Shiyi in order to set him free and protect their/her family. She also had a bad ending in this life as well. There is actually a lot they can explore with these characters as the historical part was only briefly mentioned in the novel.

The historical past was briefly mentioned in the novel, but Shiyi never married the Crown Prince. After Xiao Nanchen Prince’s death, Shiyi ended her life as well.
