It is interesting that all the things that you mentioned as why other people don't like are not the reasons why I didn't like it. LOL The cops and the Soo Hyun are not the problem for me in this drama. The cops are no slower or dumber than any other drama and I thought Soo Hyun's grudge made since. I actually like the middle 12 or so episodes.
I will tell you what my problem with this drama is and it has nothing to do with KMHM.
It is the character Ha Na. I can't believe the writer seriously had her fall in love, marry and have sex with a personality with out even giving Seo Jin any consideration. The writer uses Robin as a plot devise for the last four episodes and then she is suddenly going to also be in love with Seo Jin???? What??? And for Seo Jin to wake up with a ring on his finger like that must have been painful.
Then for her to treat Seo Jin that way when all of this must be the most painful for him, because it was like losing part of himself. OMG.
Of course that wouldn't be so if the writer had given Ha Na screen time with Seo Jin to at least be more conflicted in her feelings so that her acceptance of him at the end made more since.
Seo Jin loved her on his own and through Robin. How unfair is it to him to be loved because he gained his memories and feelings back from Robin. She had NO FEELINGS for Seo Jin even though they are the same friggin' person!!! What the heck? If Ha Na had seen that through out the drama, then the ending would make more since. Seriously
Actually, if she had left completely after Robin left and Seo Jin had just went on with his life to find another love down the road, then I probably would have given it a higher score.
All that being said. I respect your opinion. We all see things differently. I just think the writer did little to no research of DID or how it works. There were so many useless ideas in this drama...a circus which was never used. I guess Ha Na didn't actually have to work at all (although I get why she didn't while she was the witness). They just dropped the whole Robin drawing out the ideas for the circus. All of the circus characters were unnecessary to the story. The under used doctor. The over used hypnosis. It isn't that easy to hypnotize some one. I could go on, but I think you get my drift.
More power to you though!!! It was nice to see a review written about why people liked it even if I don't agree. Peace! :-)
Lmao!! This show was kinds of cliche: girl always need rescuing, nice guys smiles waaaaaaay too darn much (like…
OMG...exactly!!! I can deal with the Korean rom classic story line sometimes, but this was just annoying! I should have dropped it. Dang, Binnie for choosing this drama.
After careful consideration...I'm not sure why I didn't give this score the same as Fashion King because the story went in circles and both writers had no idea how to end it so they just killed off the main character. It must be because the dialog was better.
Nice review! I didn't see Yi Seok calling Hong Do "ugly" a put down either, I agree with you - I thought…
@marykatherine thank you!!! I fixed it. I have the character Hong Do in my head. I just keep thinking about every thing that she was put through and wonder how I would react. I had agoraphobia for a few months after a traumatic event in my life. After I had some counseling I was better. I can't imagine living years like that.
