he had the mistress before ever marrying MingLan. He had a dtr and a son with her but she's a calculating bitch who hates the thought of him marrying anyone. She could never be main wife. Anyway, she takes off with the son and leaves the dtr behind. He takes his dtr with him and searches everywhere for his son and can never find him. He searched for a few years and came back home a hero helping to bring the new king home safely. I really loved the story you may not but I did.
