I watched the last episode and I want to say a few things guys. The ending is quite sad but it's actually not that bad considering we are getting season 2. Maybe the show can keep all actors and does not need to do a timeskip or anything. We don't know about Wu Bi condition, maybe he's in coma but Su Yu can be there to talk to him until he wakes up and both of them have a chance to be together again. Wu Bi's father may take him to an expensive hospital in Beijing (or wherever), it's where Su Yu attends his university and they still can meet.
I say we keep being hopeful about the whole situation. Before I watched the episide I thought it will be extremely terrible but no. It's sad but there is still hope. Su Yu's confession after the car crash is phenomenal. He realized he couldn't live without Wu Bi and was willing to exchange his life for him. If that's not love I don't know what is. For those of you decided not to watch the show because of the ending, please don't do it, up until the end things are still very sweet and keep in mind, this is just part 1 of a 2-part show. I will not call this "ending", it's more of a "cliffhanger" to me. Why? If the director knows beforehand that he will not be able to make season 2, the supposed open ending should be the scene which Wu Bi opens his eyes when he hears Su Yu calling for him in the hospital. Here we don't even know what the doctor told Su Yu about Wu Bi's condition.
although I totally adore their moments on the beach, the color grading there was so fake it felt weird
Well, they do not have that much money to begin with, I think it's fake to everybody's eyes because they used a green screen to shot instead of going to the actual location. Not that their acting is affected by it. I think our boys did a great job.
The classroom power outage scene still cracks me up, the whole class may be full of ho*ny teenagers, they could tell it was a kiss like their ears had been trained to detect such sound, and they definitely wouln't let it go easily.
Maybe the limit is Frenchkiss? So far they are only cheek kisses.
Most Asian countries are still very conservative about gender/sexuality. We can only hope for the best. You're right. The Korean BL industry is growing too. If in China and Korea they eradicate the censorship rule, I don't think Thailand can compete with either of them. Their movie industry is older and more polished than that of Thailand.
When Bad Buddy comes out, it gives a new definition to "buddy", no buddy would act like the two main leads. Now this show just gives a new definition to "brother", lolz.

At best we can only guess, these things depend on the actual person who does the censorship, it varies from person to person. If there are such strict rules and guidelines, I think most directors have already found a way to go around it. In China, these censorship rules are extremely vague.
What you find weird are actually natural. I'm gladly tell you my point of view. It's all because of censorship,…
Oh dear, people in the Chinese government (especially those in high position) hardly care for things on Twitter. Most of them are extremely low-tech. They only care for programs on TV channels.
There are so many things I don't understand about the prod of this show :- film s1 in 2021 but realease only in…

1. The release date in film industry depends on a lot of things: production, editing, legal papers, etc. In fact, it could take longer in a country like China. 2. They want people not to drop season 1. Knowing that there will be another season makes people hopeful. 3. Because of the strict censorship, the behind the scenes are necessary, they are not official version, they violate no law. Fans and audience can see their main leads acting lovey-dovey. I say this is a kind of compensation for us, the director know we want these scenes but he can't bypass the law. 4. Uncut version exists as a way of backup. If things go smoothly, they will release it online or sell it in a boxset version. 5. I mean, every product needs marketing, right? They will keep promoting it unless somebody from the goverment gives them a warning. It's the way things are in country like China. The law is kind of ambiguous in many areas, you'll never know where the limit is, you just do what you do and expect nothing goes wrong.
At this point I don't even care they will kiss or not, their chemistry is insane, they just need to act lovey dovey to each other and it's enough for me. In many *cough* *GMM* BLs, the main leads kiss but their chemistry is not good at all, here we have a good story, good directing and good actors. The censorship is China's faulty system and we can only accept what we have here.

Glad that you love the show, me too.
