Both PoliticaLupin and Ginga no Ippyo dive into the world of Japanese politics, but in very different ways. PoliticaLupin is more of a crime drama, with Satomi Ishihara playing a brilliant female thief who targets shady political money, while Ginga no Ippyo focuses on an unlikely duo trying to win a gubernatorial election. Both have strong female leads and plenty of political schemes, but PoliticaLupin is more about outsmarting the powerful, while Ginga no Ippyo is about changing the system from within!
Both Nami Urara Ka ni and Nagatan to Aoto are period dramas featuring arranged marriages and super cute couples! Both have that light and fun romance that makes you smile, with sweet moments and couples you can't help but root for. If you enjoy historical settings, arranged marriages, and wholesome romance, both are definitely worth watching!

Both Iroha no Koi wa Toki wo Kakeru and Nobunaga Concerto involve time travel, but in opposite directions! In Nobunaga Concerto, a modern high school student ends up in the past, while in Iroha, an Edo-period teacher travels to modern Japan. It's fun to see how they deal with a completely different world! Nobunaga Concerto focuses more on history and politics, while Iroha is lighter and more fun, with romance and comedy.
Both Iroha no Koi wa Toki wo Kakeru and JIN involve time travel and life in a different era of Japan. JIN is more serious and dramatic, but definitely worth binge-watching! Iroha, on the other hand, is lighter and more fun. I enjoyed both, but they offer pretty different vibes depending on what you're in the mood for!
Both Minamida Minami Bengoshi wa Tensaihada and Good Doctor feature autistic protagonists who are brilliant at what they do but struggle with social interactions. Minami uses her sharp legal mind to fight for justice, while Minato uses his medical knowledge to save lives. Both have their own way of seeing the world, and it's fun to watch them prove that being different doesn't mean being any less capable!
Both Ataru and Minamida Minami Bengoshi wa Tensaihada have autistic main characters who see the world a little differently. Ataru uses his amazing memory to solve crimes, while Minamida relies on his sharp mind to win legal cases. Both are quirky, smart, and fun to watch, each with their own unique way of dealing with people and solving problems!
If you liked Ando Lloyd, Terminator to koi Shichattara offers a similar mix of romance and sci-fi centered on a human-android relationship. Both feature emotional bonds, but Ando Lloyd leans more heavily into action and complex potlines. In contrast, Terminator has a lighter tone, focusing more on humor and heartfelt moments.
The two drama explore the relationship between a human and android, blending romance with elements of sci-fi. While Q10 has a lighter, more youthful tone, the other lean more into action and drama, with higher emotional stakes. Still, they share the same core appeal of an artificial being learning about human emotions through connection.
The plot is identical. Almost too similar, to the point that Umi no Hajimari looks like a total copy from My Girl. Both main characters are young males that were dumped by their girlfriends and years later find out that the ex-girlfriend had passed away. In the funeral both of them find out that the ex-girlfriend had a secret child, a young girl, and that they were actually the father. The details on the stories diverge, but overall they look identical to me. ^^"
A slightly similar premise with a work related romance. There is an age gap between the male and female leads, where both women are the older ones. Also, there is a fair amount of skinship in the two dramas.
Both dramas are focused on the fact that the male leader has became a ghost and can only be seen by the female leader.
