Finally, a first (K-BL) production that can be a contender to my forever best, To My Star. even TMS director's own, Blueming, couldn't. but this one has that it factor that i always want from a drama, not only in BL, but in general. even though there was one or two scenes which felt like a gap and somehow harm the show's flow, but I forgive it because the acting skills were incredible. a very WELL-WRITTEN show, i must say. kudos to the two directors and screenwriters, they're amazing.
i love how this show touches most, if not all, the problems and sentiments in korean's young adult/college students society, and shows to the world that it is not only flowers and rainbows over there, and most importantly, not normalizing the acceptance of same-sex relationships, is so praiseworthy. because as someone who experienced it myself, i dare to say this show depicted everything in the most relatable way, almost real even. so kudos to that once again.
I donβt totally agree with you but I kinda understand your point. Yes, there are boring parts but there are…
hi, thank you. i appreciate your thoughtful response. yes, there are cute moments, which unfortunately I didn't find it that cute anymore π i guess, you're right. I've been a BL fan since 2016 (is that long enough? haha) so i crave for shows that are more challenging in terms of story/plot & acting skill. so, maybe that's why.
both part 1&2 felt too draggy. i can't count how many times i almost fell asleep. revenge was not that satisfying, i even found myself playing with my phone while the two last episodes played behind. acting wise, those villains should get the credit, they did a terrific job. as for SHG, at this rate, I'll just give up on her. her robotic way when talking could never not disturb my watching experience. i forced myself to forget about the age gap between the two leads, but gosh, they just couldn't let me by showing no chemistry at all. plus, i cringed so hard each time they called each other seonbae-hoobae erghhh. in conclusion, it's another overrated show. the hype wasn't worth it.
unexpectedly good. it kept me on my toes from the beginning. i couldn't stop watching and finished it in one sitting. worth my weekend. hope there'll be season 2
Not just you. I couldn't get past the first episode.
right? i tried really hard to finish it cause like, I haven't seen a single negative comment about it, and thinking maybe I'm the weird one. but seriously, it was so cringey & nothing original about it. even the male lead's handsomeness could not help it. thank you for confirming that we just have different standards ππ»ππ»
is it just me who found this boring? i can't even recall any interesting scene. sure the production is better than most of K-BLs but it felt mediocre like those half ass-ed Thai BL
Wow. i didn't expect anything when I decided to watch this out of boredom. It's so well-made & well-written. The cinematography and cinematic experience was praise worthy. I can even see this as normal/longer runtime drama series that'll be played on major broadcasting channels. seriously so good. 10/10. highly recommended.
Can someone explain to me why Jong Suk killed Kim Cheol ?
at first he didn't want Cheol to jump, right? he even suggested that they should just endure it together for another two years. but something changed his mind
you see how he stared at the cross (with Jesus on it) that night before Cheol came to see him for the last time? there he got the idea that Cheol is the "God". in his mind, Jesus had helped weak/wronged people and then he sacrificed himself and resurrected as God. he reflected that idea on Cheol. that Cheol has to die first for him to become the king/God
there are several times he showed how he believed Cheol will be the God. 1) when he met Park Chan Young that night before the jump. he said "Cheol is the God. you'll see it tomorrow", 2) when he said to Cheol that becoming a police is too small of an action of someone who equal God, 3) after he asked Cheol whether Kyung Min knew about the change of the plan. he said to Cheol that you're the God, but Cheol said he's just a middle school student. and then he mindlessly walked home while thinking that Cheol has to die first and will be the God next
it's how much he was influenced by the idea. that's why he pushed him. i hope you can understand
