Hi! I didn't really say that Sotus didn't deal with LGBTQ+ stuff. I just said I personally wasn't satisfied with how the show handled it. I suppose one thing that is a personal pet peeve to me is the "I'm not gay but-" statement. The second a show uses that I personally get turned off. But I do agree that Arthits character developement was a plus point to SOTUS. But I alwayspersonally appreciate it when a show is explicit about their characters orientation.

My heart broke for Pete when Trump was beating him up! I was actually surprised when they didn't have Ae swoop in to save him. But then again this drama has had so many unique moments that kinda break the normal drama mould (which only makes me love LBC even more!)

Thank you for mentioning those shows/movies. I will definitely look into them since I have been looking for stuff that caters more to LGBT topics (as someone closeted and struggling - and this may sound silly - shows like these really help me). Side note Love Like is one of my favourite movies. And don't worry. I didn't assume any show was your favourite. But you did mention liking SOUTS, which is why I brought it up in the first place. Also, from what I've seen, recommendations are usually genre based. If you watch a BL show, you get BL recommendations. If you look at thriller shows, you get thriller recommendations. There have been many times where I've looked at recommendations and not really liked any of the suggested shows. And there have been times where I have loved suggested shows.
I cannot express how much I love this series. It is so different from literally any other BL show I've ever watched. Tbh the second I finished episode 1 I knew we were in for a ride! I don't wanna make any judgements yet since we are only a few episodes in, but this series has the potential to be my favourite show ever...

For instance, I absolutely love this show because it isnt adhering to the normal BL format. Sure it has a meet cute and some moments may be a tad cliche. But LBC also deals with real problems faced by LGBT people (the bullying, coming out, the struggle with identity), which in MY opinion sets it apart. TWM did this really well too but the whole ex girlfriend drama got to be too over dramatized for me after a point. And thats what I personally look for in LGBT based dramas. Not just stuff for BL lovers to squeal at, but realism. Thats actually where SOTUS (and a LOT of BL shows) disappointed me to be honest. But like I said, this is MY opinion. And you have your opinion. And just because you hate the show, that doesn't make it a terrible show. It just makes it a show not for you.
