Such a beautiful and amazing tribute. Thank you, Old Anime Lady! Koizora was one of my first dramas. Haruma as Hiro sucked me in to the world of dramas. I ugly cried when Hiro cried.. actually, I cried most of the movie. Hearing that Haruma took his life absolutely gutted me. I sobbed, for someone I never met. I still can't believe it. The last time I was this devastated by the death of an actor/musician was Jeff Buckley in 1997. My father and several family members have taken their lives, so I understand depression and hopelessness very well. I was just so shocked because he just posted about his upcoming drama... and his instagram stories he seemed to be ok. Depression is a cruel beast. I hope one day soon I'll be able to watch any of his movies but it just isn't possible yet. Sending love and peace to everyone!
I love this write up!!! I started with J dramas in January of this year. I fell hard! I binged like crazy... I even hoped for more time just to watch... then bam, the pandemic! Stay at home, three words that helped feed my addiction!! I sleep way less now and dream so much more!! J dramas will always be my first love. My first movie was Koizora..... oh Haruma... I have discovered so much good music! At first I was strictly into J dramas but decided to venture into K dramas as well... so glad I did. Thank you, everyone here for doing what you do for this community. If anyone here ever needs to talk, I'm here for you. Be well!!
This is beyond devastating for me. He was my first Japanese actor love.... he was brilliant in everything he did. Koizora smashed my heart into a million pieces... and this morning I sobbed with the news, and again my heart was shattered. Such a great loss... I hope he's found peace... Fly high, beautiful Haruma Miura...
