I would also like to disagree politely. Kay did Gun very well. He was troubled inside but on the outside he was smiling and uncaring. But despite his smiling face, he can still convey a proound sadness that only a good actor can do.

For those who are complaining about the ending (yes, i've alredy spoiled myself), I can see that the story has been building up and giving clues as to how it will end. So how can it be disappointing?
