I am SO glad we dodged the usual episode 11 curse this time š This episode was everything. Their acting was on another level, when Qin finally broke down, it hit me so hard I couldnāt stop sobbing. My heart shattered seeing him like that on the floor after everything with his parents.
I was so satisfied when Duang snapped at them and basically said what Qin always needed was just a simple hug to feel like his parents were actually there for him. And then Duang pulled him into that hug while Qin completely fell apart⦠ugh, I was ugly crying. That scene was pure healing
One of the things I completely adore is Duangās family, theyāre so loud, open, and genuinely supportive. I cracked up so hard when his mom shouted way too early to act surprised lmao š She couldnāt even wait for the proper timing, iconic. And Funanās with Duangās siblings relationship is just too adorable, the whole chaotic energy is chefās kiss.
The only thing I didnāt like (and it still pisses me off) is Qin's parents. What do you mean āyouāve always been a good boy, so why are you acting like this now?ā Excuse me??? Everything they kept saying just made my blood boil. As they say, every child deserves parents, but not every parent deserves their child. And that line āyou were over it (the abuse), so we thought everything was okayā, like, of course he had to act fine for you guys! How do you not see that your kid was suffering and pretending just to make you happy? They really failed him and still donāt fully get it. Iām still side-eyeing them heavy. They got away with it too easily.
Anyway, sorry for my rant about the parents, this ep wrecked me in the best and worst ways. Canāt wait for the next oneā¦I don't want this to end
How is NetJJ, guys? Are they good as NetJames? Net's expression on previous dramas were insane and I donot want…
This is such a slowburn and we have not had much interactions yet but the way Net looks at JJ is so intense and full of layers. There is this mix of suspicion protectiveness and a quiet softness hiding underneath that makes every glance feel heavy with emotion. It is pulling me in completely even with the limited scenes so far. Their chemistry is building so naturally in this historical setting and I am really enjoying how fresh and engaging it feels without forcing anything. No need to compare pairings because this one has its own beautiful chemistry unfolding episode by episode.
As the person above said, we should watch it with a fresh mindset. Personally NetJJ are by far one of my top 3 favourite pairings!
I've been trying to figure out what North calls Dao. It's translated into English as Daotok, but that's definitely…
What North actually calls him is 'Phi Pung Tai' (ąøąøµąøąøøą¹ąøą¹ąøą¹), an old Thai folklore name for a shooting star (Daotok) that literally means 'ghost holding a torch'. It's taken from the novels, where North uses it as a playful tease. Subs simplify it to 'Daotok' for clarity!
Just watched episode 2 and wow it really pulled me in deeper than the first one. The way it starts all calm and then flips into total chaos had me hooked right away. Nakhun trying to blend in as Klao while everything feels so wrong is equal parts funny and stressful, especially with how lost he looks navigating the old world. It made me think how devastating it would be to go back in time and suddenly feel like a complete stranger in your own life, especially when your closest friends start looking at you like you're crazy and questioning everything you say. I can't imagine how lonely and confusing that must feel, carrying all those secrets alone while everyone around you thinks you've lost it.
That water rescue scene though? Phop jumping in without hesitation to save him was intense and you could already feel the shift between them. Net and JJ have this natural tension that makes the whole time travel thing hit different. The little moments of recognition mixed with all the suspicion keep building this quiet pull thatās hard to look away from.
This episode balanced the humor, the historical vibe, and those emotional beats perfectly. Definitely sticking around to see where this goes. Net and JJ are amazing actors for their first lead role series.
Just watched episode 4 of Love You Teacher and honestly it might be my favorite so far. The school play scene had me laughing out loud when the kids all voted for Sun to direct it. The flashbacks were also so well handled. The other teachers looked completely shocked and you could tell they had no idea how to handle it, at first. Especially when Pobmek volunteered to help. Perth nailed Pobmek's mix of panic and quiet protectiveness, especially with everything going on with Solar. Santa is just so naturally charming in both modes that it makes the whole regression thing feel sweet instead of weird. The way the couple supports each other through the chaos at school is really touching without getting too heavy. This episode balanced the comedy and the heart perfectly. It's just keep getting better and better , the actors and the staff are amazing.
I get missing netjames, honestly that ship meant a lot to people and no oneās saying you have to suddenly stop caring about it. but at some point it has to make sense, right? james chose to leave, that was his decision, and net continuing his career isnāt some kind of betrayal story....
what doesnāt make sense is putting energy into hating a new pairing that didnāt do anything wrong. like if you donāt vibe with netjj or the new series, thatās completely fine, just donāt watch it. simple. but going out of your way to rate it low or make accounts just to drag it⦠for what outcome exactly?
because realistically, itās not bringing netjames back, itās not changing jamesā decision, and itās definitely not helping net. it just ends up looking like people are more interested in holding onto negativity than actually supporting the people they claim to care about. instead of wasting your time just go and support James if you like him
so yeah, miss what you had, keep your memories, but maybe let the new stuff exist without turning it into a personal vendetta. itās a series, not a battlefield š„
i'm about to drop this Show...the Acting of most of the cast is so bad and Duang is way to cringe..no person would…
I understand that not every show clicks with everyone, but I think some of the criticisms here overlook what the series is intentionally doing.
Calling the actors bad doesn't quite hold up. This is TeeTee and Por's debut as lead roles, and their chemistry feels very natural and well-balanced for a college romcom. Duang's hyper, enthusiastic reactions aren't poor acting. They're a deliberate choice. He's written as a classic golden retriever type: impulsive, pure-hearted, and completely swept away by love at first sight. That energetic, over-the-top style contrasts with Qin's reserved, icy black-cat personality, and the actors handle that dynamic convincingly.
As for Duang being cringe and no one would ever fall for him, that actually misses how the story sets things up. Duang doesn't just act overly enthusiastic for no reason. He falls hard after seeing Qin perform, then boldly tells him at the Loy Krathong festival that he's going to win his heart whether Qin likes it or not. Qin could have shut him down immediately, but instead he gives Duang a real chance, something he clearly doesn't do for the many others who approach him.
We already see Qin paying special attention to Duang, letting him get closer, and slowly softening in ways he doesn't with anyone else. That's the beauty of the trope. The cheerful, persistent one gradually melts the colder, guarded person. People do fall for someone like Duang in real life too. Someone who's genuine, loyal, and brings that bright energy can be incredibly attractive, especially to someone who's more reserved and used to keeping people at a distance. His intense reactions come from being authentically head-over-heels, not from trying too hard
The show knows exactly what it is: a light, fun, fluffy college romance with cute chaos and emotional layers underneath. It doesn't pretend to be a grounded, serious drama. If the enthusiastic golden-retriever energy and the contrast with Qin's reserve aren't your taste, that's fair. Tastes differ. But dismissing the acting and character choices as cringe misses how thoughtfully the dynamic is built around that intentional contrast.
Different strokes for different folks, though. Sorry for the long ahh paragraph lmao, I just really love this show and got carried š
