It's on my to watch list! It reminded me a bit of A Walk To Remember - at least the clause about not falling in love. Hopefully it's doesn't end up the same way though. I did start a different Japanese drama though - Itazura na Kiss. It's currently airing and very very good. I hate to say it but so far I like it better than the Taiwanese version :P

Finished the movie! It's good, you should watch it! TBH I was a little...weirded out by the age difference, but they had enough charm together that it worked out.

ahahahaha only eps 1 and 2 have any of those shenanigans ;P
oh god she was awful in this drama. Couldn't act for beans and had ZERO chemistry with him. she also made these annoying faces all the time trying to look cute. blegh.

a three. was tempted to go to a two, but realized I that the other characters did a decent enough job so I shouldn't take out my frustrations too much.

Black and White is my all time favourite! Followed by MARS and Fated to Love You :) If you can't tell...I absolutely adore Vic Zhou haha. Loved him in Meteor Garden, and really really loved him in Black and White. Actresses...meh I don't really have one. hbu?

I don't write reviews on MDL - too much to keep track of haha. I only really use MDL to keep track of my drama list, keep an eye on upcoming/airing dramas, and talk to ppl :) If you ever want to guest recap on my blog you're welcome to! It is a lot of time to recap though...I think it takes me 2-3 hours for one ep >__< The first time I tried to recap it took me 5 hours haha.

ooo MARS is...it's a very good, very dark, very twisted drama. It's about growth, love, and family, but both main leads have had extremely unfortunate childhoods. I don't tend to recommend it right off the bat because it's not everyone's cup of tea - it deals with mental illness, rape, and suicide - and when I tried to watch it when it was first airing (I think I was 14?) I wasn't able to finish it. Now that I'm more mature I'm watching it again, and don't regret it one bit. I do think that everyone should watch it, just maybe at a point where they're comfortable with the portrayal of such topics.

BUT all in all, definitely recommend. It's a 10/10 for me, and most people I've talked to who have watched it! I know that my recaps don't truly say much (they're haikus haha) but they might give you a sense of the drama before you start it.

at least you're almost done! :) Most of my friends are finishing late May/June, so coming back early isn't really much fun when there's no one to hang out with.

oh man froyo....Definitely craving some now haha. mochi itself doesn't really have a lot of flavour, which is why the inside filling is so important ^_^

when does your semester finish? I just got home myself, so I'm like a kid in a candy shop trying to watch all the tv shows/dramas I missed out on haha. Strawberry and Mango are pretty good if you find them! If not, classic chocolate works :)

mm, I think all asian supermarkets have them, I've seen them at korean and chinese chain stores as well! The ice cream ones I've seen at Trader Joes too :)

I don't remember either actually...but it went well! we didn't make it past the first two rounds, but are getting a head start on next year's battle :)

I just started a movie called Say Yes! (101 proposals in chinese) which I think you'd like, it's been pretty funny so far. I don't see the two leads together (age difference/job difference/i just don't see it yet), but these reasons are a critical part of the plot and I expect it to get resolved well. I'll let you know my final verdict once I finish it! :)

you're missing out!! actually all the mochi flavours are good, and I especially love the ice cream ones, but you can't beat the original redbean one :)

Don't get me started on Benedict Cumberbatch and all his perfection haha - I've decided that this is the year of the Sherlockians, we get season 3 AND season 4 is confirmed, Benedict is in Star Trek, and both he and Martin Freeman are in the hobbit.

MMMMM what genre do you like? RomCom = Fated To Love You, Devil Beside You, or It Started With a Kiss (the original of Playful Kiss). These are fairly older dramas, but classics. Police/Mystery/Espionnage = Black and White. More realistic/less shenanigans but still Romance = In Time With You or Autumn's Concerto (beware you might shed a tear or two with Autumn's Concerto).

oh yeah - you'd think that after ISWAK 1 + 2 Love or Bread would be good but no, biggest disappointment after Meteor Rain in the TW drama category. Otomen looks cute though - I added it to my list :P

I was looking through upcoming/airing taiwanese dramas and saw that you commented a lot on them! Not many MDL members (at least from what I've seen) really watch TW dramas, so I got excited when I saw your drama list lol. :P Sorry haha
