I think someone can do a bad or manipulative thing and it doesn't define their character, especially if they feel they're doing it for a greater good. I've never met a perfect person before. I also think people are harsher on women who mess up than men. I think people sympathize with men more especially when watching dramas. It's okay though, it's just a tv show

Is it a requirement for every romance to have a "childhood friends/crush" backstory? It's becoming an issue for me with dramas.

I love this drama. It's delightfully messy and each character is trash in their own ways but you kind of sympathize or see their POV too. Nothing is black and white

Obviously, nothing is completely original anymore but new ideas are still being thought of so that's no excuse. My opinion stands :)

Older woman/younger man isn't a genre though. It's just switching the ages of the main characters around with some commentary about age. They're running out of ideas lol
