I think, that most people are looking at this series, with different expectations than it was intended to,Peem…
This exactly.
Like not even just from a story standpoint, but also a realistic standpoint.
Pheem is someone who was brought into a family and environment where you need to be ruthless in order to survive because perceived weakness gets you killed.

Title The Wicked Game Spoiler
I mean after processing the recent episode, i have some thoughts on Pheem's character. I wouldn't say he doesn't…
I get you to an extent, but at the same time, i feel like there is a misunderstanding of Pheem's character going on here.

There are two qoutes i think illustrates perfectly what kind of person Pheem is

'My mother was a kind, gentle woman....and that didn't stop her from getting killed' - Pheem

'I once thought you were like your mother but i can see you're becoming like your father' - Mrs Nit

Basically, Pheem isn't some kind of narcissist who just doesn't care and thinks he's completely blameless, he's a kind person who has had to stifle that kindness, morally compromise and mold himself into someone ruthless and cunning because everything in his life ( the MURDER of his mother, being abused by his family and being sent away like he's expendable) has gone unpunished due to the fact the law doesn't get people justice if the person who hurt you have enough power.

The way he's operating is frankly understandable.
He screws people over because alot of the time, they're fully willing to screw him over first.
He lied because it was the only way he could keep the man he loves and still get revenge for what was done to him.
Even him shooting Than has to nuance to it because while yes, you shouldn't shot your romantic partner, the romantic partner in this case was literally gearing up to blow up years of planning and manuevering that was being done to get revenge for everything his family did to him for the sake of upholding laws that didn't save Pheem in the first place.

That's why i feel like you can't say people are 'sugarcoating' him, because while what he's doing is morally bad, the context of the situation he's in makes it very understandable why he's acting like that.

This is kind of a false equivalency. You have to compare Pheem’s treatment of Than to Chet’s treatment of…
I just see it as honestly, if we're talking about whose worse, it is Chet. Pheem has hurt Than, but at the end of the day, this is someone who dedicated his life to getting back at people who abused him and killed his mother. We can't really be suprised that trauma like that would prompt him to be like 'no, you're not ruining this for me' which was what Than was planning on doing.
It's wrong, but it's still understandable.
Meanwhile, ChetPark are just two blatantly evil bastards, so the fact that people are ok with them, but have an issue with Pheem, who has very understandable reasons is why it comes off as hypocritical.

is khemjira that good? I see people talk about it all the time, just wanna know if it's worth watching
Ohh it is, also, has one of the longest episodes ive seen in drama, episode 8 was like 2 hours long. My only complaint is, the horror aspects started off strong, then died off but it seems to kicking back up

We do see that memories actually affected him, he called Paran Wat. What hes meant he didnt /need/ the memories to start liking him.
Basically this whole thing to me is like saying that because someone got anmnesia and made a new life for themselves, they arent the same person. In my opinion tgey are the same person, just a different version.

Bruh, what are you even going on about. Take a chill pill promptly, ppl are allowed to not like something of they want, especially if its fiction. What real life men would do doesnt matter when the drama is a romance.

The way yall act like things are equal is insidious to me. Straight ppl arent the ones whove been deprived and hit with censorship for centuries, so stop with the 'not everything has to be bl' bull.

Well like i said, in my eyes, if you have the same memories, feelings and the same soul, youre functionally the same person just in a different body.

The way he acts indicates what he said was more so to push Khemjira rather than him actually thinking he's not the same person, because if you have the memories and the soul, you are essentially that person.
It's like saying if someone gets amnesia and go on live thier life, they're somehow not the same person. They're different, but they are the same person.

Can you explain please.I always thought that the soul is what defined the persona and not the body ie in that…
Tbh, the implication is that they are the same person. Pharan likely remembers thier past life just like Khemjirra does and at that point, if you have the memories and you have the same soul, you are essentially tthe same person. So when Pharan says 'you're not Mika and i'm not Wat', it's not entirely true, it's more so him trying to distance himself from Khemjira.

I do not see him that way. None of the things that happened to him were in any way his fault. He did not act reckless.…
Yeah, it doesn't mean they should but the fact is, his life is on the line, so you can't be mad at him for pushing. It's not like he's just pushing just because he can or for something that isnt serious.

I think in regards to Tian's character arc. I think tbh hes very much so trope of the socially aware rich kid as in he was always largely the person we saw he was in the village (fair, opposed to injustice, etc etc) but he just never had a chance to assert himself in a meaningful manner because he didnt have enough power to push back against his parents influence which leads to his crash out in episode 9, due to the fact he finally felt free only to realize he was still just being 'allowed'. I think another aspect of his arc is him living his life for himself and valuing himself. We're told his mother smothered and dictated his life and then we see him doing the same thing for Torfun. Tbh, it seems like Tian largely just didnt value his life, he was always just living for other ppl.

This better be actual bromance and not romance thats just censored to be more 'palatable' because i hate how writers will using framing known to be used for romances and then say its not romantic, knowing any shippers will be called 'insane' or accussed of 'making everything gay' by wierdos. I tolerate it for China and Korea, simply because of how much more homophobic netizens and governments tend to be, but theres no reason to do that here
