If you like strong female leads and dramas with dark angst and assassin theme then most probably you'll like it. And the actors are very good. Lead actors have good chemistry. I watched this drama 4-5 years ago when I was a beginner of c dramas and at that time somehow I found this drama and enjoyed it a lot. But I had 2nd lead syndrome. If you don't like open or sad endings, or dramas with toxicity to some amount then maybe you won't like it.

Later the phone was tracked and the person who did that was sued. After prosecution, that person gave an apology letter. If she was too controversial as an actress then she wouldn't exist in the C- ent industry and also her dramas wouldn't get released. Every actor and actress gets hate in the C- ent industry. Higher the traffic, higher the amount of hate the celebrity will get.

Yes, there are toxic fans in every fandom but they don't have victim complex. All they do is to defend their idol and her dramas. I think if it was your fav idol's drama ,you would also do the same thing.

Can you tell me how you came to this conclusion, because that drama is not being given any special treatment. Today there was youku conference and just like brocade odyssey , pearl girl got 1 poster. There were several other dramas which got douyin videos, trailers. The platform is same but both the dramas production house and drama team is different. The one making posters are different. The way you are saying it feels like the pearl girl has got magazine photoshoots or couple videos are uploaded. Even when the drama got 1 million reservations, the drama team gave the same old poster just by removing the 2nd male lead. You are free to complain but don't say that the pearl girl is getting special treatment. This will only bring in negativity. You should know TSY , she's a TV actress who has the capability to bring in lots of passerby fans. She's known as the tv rating queen. So, even though this drama is not marketed properly, still it can become hit if the plot is engaging. A drama's success depends on the storyline, actors, directors. So, plz calm down and focus on promoting this drama by editing videos and upload it on social media platforms. Once the drama date is announced, youku will upload 2-3 trailers, 1 MV, some bts. At that time you can properly promote the drama, "Brocade Odyssey".
