The characters sound great on paper, but the execution is lacking. All these anti-heroes coming together is just what dramaland needed; too bad, in it's attempts to be "cool", parts of the show just ends up being corny. I like the show so far, despite my complaint, but there really is some room for improvement.
I'm going to catch this. The cast looks so great. I'm excited to see Lee Ha-na again. And the dance teasers are so funny! All in all, the show looks fun.
Oh God, the plot seems so cute and the cast is also great. I will definitely watch this!
:)
Agreed, I have to catch this one. So many great dramas this Spring season, it's hard to find time to watch them all.

There are a few dramas I know of premiering next week: Big Man, Doctor Stranger, A New Leaf, and Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit. The week after is the premier of You're All Surrounded, And Golden Cross with Uhm Ki-joon, Lee Si-young, and Kim Kang-woo, already premiered two weeks ago.
The drama I'm really waiting for, though, is Joseon Gunman. Sounds so cool! And it's a drama reunion for Lee Jun-ki and Name Sang-mi.

Alrighty, you've convinced me; I'm going to watch Empress Ki. Since a bunch of dramas are slated to premier next week and the week after, I'll watch Empress Ki while waiting for the currently airing dramas. And if I finish early, then maybe I'll pick up Potato Star.
Thinking of adding any new dramas to you're "currently watching" with all the premiers coming up?

Ah, I understand. I guess I could try it out. Maybe I'll watch it after I finish Three Days and Bride of the Century. It's either that or I'll pick up Empress Ki. How are you liking Empress Ki, by the way? And Gap-dong?
I like Three Days so far. I actually marathoned the first 6 episodes. The story seems to be lacking a bit in execution (as far as how the leads come up with the conclusions) other than that, it's fun.

Hey! High five for being a One Piece fan!
I see you're watching Potato Star. How do you like it? I was thinking about watching it, but am a little reluctant to start a daily drama. 120+ episodes is a lot.
One of the best villains in Kdrama has to be Jo Hyun-min from Ghost. He's evil, but has a heartbreaking back story. Although, it doesn't justify his 180° character transformation into a homicidal mad man.
Also, I've said this before, but Lee Jin-pyo is more of an anti-hero, rather than a villain.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the drama. I liked the ending. It just felt like the drama used a deus ex machina…
Exactly. There were too many questions left to answer. Fantasy dramas set up a world with it's own set of rules and if those rules aren't followed (or even properly explained) then it leads to plot holes.
On the romance level, I can see why the worm hole would have been needed. Then again, couldn't they just end with taking away his powers and allowing him to age on par with the rest of the world? I think that would have been a cleaner ending. This way I wouldn't be sitting here thinking that someday, sometime, one of them will get old and die, while the other will still be around and alone again. That makes me feel bad for the happily ever after factor.
All in all, I liked the drama, it's just there were too many plot holes to fill in which left me a little disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the drama. I liked the ending. It just felt like the drama used a deus ex machina to resolve the story. Within a fantasy drama, if the fantasy isn't explained then it just feels incomplete.
I don't know if I'm being too critical, but damn that wormhole came out of nowhere! Am I right? Like what?! Whatever. It ended on a positive note, but for a sci-fan/fantasy fan it lacked in some areas.
Is it irony if I want to read this book, but can't because my free time is taken up with all the dramas I want to watch?
Love Dramabeans! The recaps are well done and help with understanding, not only the story, but Korean culture as well.

Hey, I saw on the request thread you wanted some fantasy drama recommendations. Since you didn't make your own thread I'll post it here. Arang And The Magistrate, Soulmate, and Operation Proposal are all fantasy dramas.
ps. Kang Ye-won is super crush-worthy.
The drama I'm really waiting for, though, is Joseon Gunman. Sounds so cool! And it's a drama reunion for Lee Jun-ki and Name Sang-mi.

I'll add Dol Swe and Bang Wool from Arang & The Magistrate.
Bara-ssi from Let's Eat!
