hello Im currently watching this drama, I wanna ask hows the FL character development? thankss
flat. she does her job well, and she has some cool techniques. there are also some interesting revelations to her background. but her personality doesn’t really change (which may be due to the actress’s limited range), for better or worse.

I find the plot interesting but I cringe watching the female lead with lack of expressions when a scene needs…
she’s not great at playing off others - like empathizing /reciprocating. i struggle the most watching her when she’s interacting with others in key emotional moments.

the episode length is actually shorter than your usual dramas, so that's kind of curious. longer might scare off…

thanks for reading :) i feel like tides are changing. after all this beat out their other airing production that has a much bigger budget but less compelling script. fingers crossed

it definitely would have scared me off haha. but if it had just a few more, like 40 episodes...but apparently tencent only does dramas in counts of 6? i don’t understand why they have such weird arbitrary rules.

Actually this story can be expand and develop more detail..so many story that did not explore yet like Jing Yi…
the director just said in a reply to a pm that tencent only allowed 36 episodes. they cut a lot out which likely affected quality at the end :-/

now with its success, can they redo the ending and also give us a second season??

for people who thought it was rushed at the end, i just found out the director said tencent only allowed them 36 episodes. i thought it just had to do with budget but looks more like the platform’s meddling. i read in an interview it was originally supposed to be 24 but the production team negotiated for more. tencent really doesn’t deserve the great scripts they’re given - no eyes for good dramas :-/
