A masterful portrayal of the maladies of fledgling teenage love. Confused emotions from failing to separate friendship…
Totally agree!! I don't see a teenager, inexperienced when it comes to relationships, to understand the faults in his behaviour. He is still young and obviously doesn't understand the feelings he has for his best friend is deeper than friendship and on the top he likes a girl who he sees proposing in the near future. And I love how you described everything in the 1st para
looks gay? How do you judge from someones look or moves if they are gay? So a girl doing "masculine" dances is…
There is a major difference between straight people being homophobic and gay people experiencing internalised homophobia, it doesn't just come out to hurt other people but also themselves. People with internalised homophobia have hard time with using lgbtq terms, doesn't make them less valid.
I really don't like the show, and the script, but I do like Ian and his sister, the only thing that is good, the…
looks gay? How do you judge from someones look or moves if they are gay? So a girl doing "masculine" dances is gay too by that logic. Extremely masculine gay men exist too. Is this part of your fetish? Wanting straight men to have conflicts and fall for other men? This series is about mlm, gay/bi characters are going to be a part of it. This show is not about fantasy as you can see, many people relate to it. It was made to be that way.
What makes you think that? Perth was 17 when he did Love by Chance and he got away with some pretty intense scenes.…
I agree to some extent with kissing. I am not trying to paint kissing as something dirty, I am saying that making teens do intimate scenes may not be the best thing to do. As an actor who is an adult when you agree to do intimate scenes, you know what you're getting into but with teens it's not the same.
Yeah, bl industry is now growing and has a lot of support from local and intl fans but still the industry is not seen as equal to or as a part of main entertainment industry. Like Krist left, Perth is leaving the industry and mostly Mean too. yeah a lot of actors stay obviously but I don't think apart from few actors, they will be doing these roles in the long run.
As an Asian, I can 100% attest about the parental influence extending to adulthood. We obviously don't know as viewers if parents were complicit or not. But there are so many parents who push their children into entertainment industry without knowing or acknowledging the factors along with it, so I would not be surprised.

That's pretty exploitive, they are still very young and the bl industry in thailand is used as a stepping stone to the main industry rather than a project an actor has done, hence we don't see big actors in bls. Making them do intimate scenes at an age when they can't decide properly and obviously are doing the role to get into the industry is exploitive. Perth, Ohm and Captain shouldn't have to do those scenes when they were that young.
We have Dean in UWMA but apparently many fans of Thai BL call him and his relationship with Pharm boring. So I…
And the fact that thai bls have started adding "fangirls" in the series to make it more relatable for the audience. Those fangirls if not always, most of the time come off as fetishizing mlm couples. khim from oxygen, those girls in my engineer, the girl in why r u, etc. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth when they include a character like that and try to normalise that behaviour
I really hope this doesn’t have a sad ending. For some reason the title alone makes me think it might. Please…
The ost also points to a sad ending. I really hope not because some of the great series with amazing cinematography, acting and production always somehow end up with sad ending
Just a moment ... the trailer definitely shows us a "girlfriend", indeed "Solo's fiancée". What's this all about?…
It's a way to distance from homosexuality/bisexuality in the shows. Most of the bl shows, even though about mlm relationships are directed towards women majorly and to satisfy their fantasies. Majority of shows deflect from using the term gay, especially in a positive manner and you'll see the characters denying being gay but loving that one guy. Together with me, grey rainbow, gameboys, quaranthings, tharntype are some of the shows where sexuality is even mentioned. Others follow the fantasy of a "normal" guy all of a sudden falling in love with a guy, so a lot of shows add female lovers to not associate the male leads with homosexuality but they still wouldn't show bisexuality or other sexualities.
Had to cringe with the scene where the girl staff is injecting her own idea being gay to the doctor. The statement…
Yeah that was definitely offensive and a lot of thai bls like to push that concept like real people don't kill themselves or get hurt and killed by others because someone leaked their pics or outed them in other ways
I also think it is annoying but this kind of girl is part of the BL culture, BL has survive all theses years thanks…
And it seems like thai bls especially are pushing the narrative and behaviour of bl fangirls into normalcy, like clicking their pics without consent, making fanfics, stalking, etc. As more and more series are produced they are making bl fangirls interact with the main characters more and more to make it more relatable to the audience without thinking that they are normalizing that kind of behaviour.
