Her reputation was bad as she played Ye Bing Chang and gjm might have asked her out to maintain stability before the crew started filming. So cdl stepped up to stop her fans. It's the same way how cdl and zyr stopped their fans for billing issues. Production team wouldn't want trouble for the fans. Tjr is the fav of gjm. So he will never ask him to maintain stability even if the male lead was crushed to severe violence.
Both Minghao & Cdl were wronged in fof. It's a given they should get full support instead of following the bl route.

FOF didn't explod but Minghao got a huge fandom in return which is bigger than LYR , MZY and CDL which proves his good acting skills despite having any explosive drama. Afaik his character Zhuyan exploded leaving him a big fanbase in return. He was under cyber bullying at that time but managed to receive huge positive feedbacks from passersby breaking 9 on Vlinkage. Who can gain large amount of fans from a drama which didn't do well? Drop your anti fan filter
