I watched every episode of this drama and really enjoyed the flow. However, episode 12 was pretty bad, at least…
Finding closure with the mother - think it’s an Asian thing in general honestly. Hell will freeze over before you can get a real apology/ true acknowledgement of their mistakes. I guess in terms of vicious k-mothers, the twins mother wasn’t the worst (the bar is super low)? I mean sure what she did was wrong and she definitely should have explained things better to the twins much sooner. I’m glad that they showed that she knows how to speak in sign language (it is the bare minimum but there are worse shameless K-drama mums who wouldn’t even put in that little effort to try and still will be forgiven).
The real MVP is the aunt and her husband. They managed to raise KHJ into such a wonderful person - specially one who isn’t filled with malice/ envy. And all things considered, she probably had a better environment growing up compared to the stressful life KHM’s had.
**** SFL’s lack of care for Jin Woo’s sister’s feelings- She already was subservient to her in-laws feelings without any support in the past. But this time she has Jin Woo. The sister’s concerns are understandable but it’s safe to assume that she isn’t toxic like MJ’s ex-family. The sister’s concern over JW’s future is more flexible since JW can talk things out with her. Things will not be perfect but at least it won’t be disastrous like last time. If anything, if the sister truly cares about her brother, she shouldn’t be shoving archaic ideas onto his life. He has the right to choose his happiness.
An ongoing debate on MDL was the fact that some of the cases didn’t really have enough closure/ justice shown for the true victims/ villainizing the ex-BF. I guess now we know why (ep 12).
I've watched the show up to episode 8 and I'm waiting for it to finish before continuing. But seriously, what…
It depends on what you want - if you want a steamy fast paced romance, then sadly this is not what you will get. I mean Yun just finally got closure from the Ex (even if it took him time). He needs time before he can find a new love.
That being said, the drama keeps throwing hints on their connection (for instance if you saw the ep 12 preview, an AI Dating app actually called KHM and Yun a perfect match despite their age gap/ status). It’s also obvious that Yun truly values KHM as a confidante so even if we don’t get to see them “together” officially as a couple, there is a possibility that someday they could be an option. Hell even KHM isn’t disappointed with the turn of events. Besides, their emotional intimacy is on fire.
I'm actually don't know how a couple can come from the 2 leads. I understand that they look out for each other…
That’s why it makes sense why the drama isn’t going the usual fast paced approach when it comes to romance with the main leads- it’s too soon given their professional circumstances/ he’s still not ready to move forward.
As of ep 7-9, Yun is taking all the right steps to move forward now that the Ex finally gave him complete closure . He cannot completely cut ties with the Ex until he gets sole custody of Hash but it’s good that he has now given clear boundaries to the ex wife. Based on how ep 12 ended, perhaps in the future Yun will be in a better position to date (the FL or anybody else).
alright it was a good show nice start middle but but what’s the with ending it was weird I get it a small hint…
Like they said - love has many shades and is ever changing. The stills they used right after the final “esquire” kind of can be interpreted in any way.
Anyhoo, the dating app agreed that they were perfect and Yun enjoyed the “date” enough to not act awkward around her later. His reasoning also is quite temporary seeing as his work besties are in the same situation and yet Jin Woo managed to make MJ feel comfortable enough. So I guess we can’t say “never ever”? The fact that Yun and KHM are comfortable enough to discuss love so much means that at least they care for each other beyond a professional capacity which is ideal for now
Connecting the final stills with the last scene actually was quite smart - shades of love/ different kinds of love. If they added a still of Hash, it would have been perfect but I still love how they wrapped it up.
I see a lot of people complaining about Kim Hyeon. Wtf, at which moment did he even care for Seri ? Yu Seok was…
Kim Hyeon did care in the sense that he treated her like a normal student- saw past her messy hair/ obvious crush and found her interesting too (specially considering he was Mr. Popular).
It's just bad luck on his part that she saw him like a god. Nobody is at fault 🥲
It's probably because KBS is government owned but i don't understand why kdramas have to end everything with justice.…
Wait so only Murim went to jail? At worst, he should have lost his badge/ suspended for keeping it a secret if the others weren’t held accountable either. What happened to the others?
(I dropped the drama after 25 episodes a while back because of the terrible subs but a bit curious to know how it ended)
Here's the bottom line of the whole ex wife bullshit....She didn't want to have children with him.Even if there…
It feels like that ngl. I get being afraid to talk but ALL her actions point out to how little she gives a damn about him.
To waterdown his bond with Hash as "abandonment" is just rediculous.🤦♀️ Does she need a Hangul dictionary or thesaurus? She keeps using the wrong words to articulate her thoughts (at least that's he go to excuse "didn't mean it that way").
Ep 12- ex BF will make an appearance (they will have another case together).
Ex wife- probably yes since Yun and she needs to finalize Hash's future since she has to move to Singapore soon. There will be no romantic third wheeling draama but this could be Yun's final phase of getting closure.
Maybe it’s just me but I see a little something between the two leads. It’s very low-key on his part, maybe…
I think it's the timing that's important.
Like with Suits US, Mike had over 2 season or so to court Rachel and with Harvey, even more).
I do love how they've handled KHM and Yun's emortional intimacy progression so far though so hopefully the writer will not disappoint us with the way they wrap up things 🤞
TBF the eventual romance/ current sincereity he feels for her didn't just happen overnight- the drama has been…
Honestly i don't think we'll get a full on romance ending. More like an open ending with hints of something promising? Their priority is anyway Yullim's legal issues with Blue Mountain anyway.
What I like about this drama is that IF the MC is suppose to have romance, the pacing is realistically slow. I mean it would be wrong for Yun to chase after KHM while being at odds with the ex even if they are the leads. Being senior- junior also means that they can't just jump into a relationship as they need to prepare for the poetntial fallout (Yun seems too practical to make such an impulsive decision).
So glad I didn't watch this. I can't stand baiting with romance.
Haha good call! There's no point forcing yourself 😊
If i'm not mistaken there'll be a few more new romance dramas that will be out soon 😊 (ATM I only know about "Bon Appetit Your Majesty "for an ongoing kdrama but honestly i'm afraid to recommend it since I can't shake off the potentual k-trauma ending vibes)🙈
