Sa Eon is not really connected to the orphanage at all from what I can understand. His connection is with the fisherman and Baeks but not through the orphanage.

SML is obsessed with the case because he knew the missing kids (except for the twins) and he was the one who told them about the house with many toys in the first place when they were kids.

Since he knows that the mask kid was probably a psychopath and there is no trace of him either, SW needs to bring justice since everybody else has forgotten about the missing orphans.

He's looking for the twin since with a relative of one of the victims, he can bring more attention to the case.

Since they mentioned that In A had gone through a lot of failed surgeries, perhaps she didn't learn sign language as a way to have hope that she will hear again someday?

I mean yes, making HJ miserable could have been a bonus initially but In A seems tenacious enough to rebel against learning just so that they don't give up?

I'd love to know how she managed to work while HeeJu was in college honestly.

It's not possible since based on the flashbacks, SE has been living with the fisherman for a long time around the time the kids went missing. Besides, it doesn't look like young SE had any trauma prior to the drowning incident. Separating him from his twin should have caused some form of trauma.

Unless may be it all comes back to the original Hong accident? Chairman Hong could have planned the 2 to meet and destroy our SE so that the Baek political dynasty will end in ruins (since that's what the Baeks care about the most.) Once that's done, he can have his ultimte revenge on the kidnapper for killing his son and hurting his daughter.

Our SE, HJ, and Park are just collateral damage?

My only issue is why did he wait till after the grandfather die to execute such a plot since clearly he's the main villain here🙈

We know that the Master blames SE for some loss since he wanted SE to know what it's like to lose someone precious. The master also confirmed that he was the one who pushed HJ because it looked like they were not going to divorce. So the master has to be someone who was at the retreat and had access to Heeju. The only option is DJ (unless i'm missing something)🙈🙈🙈

Somebody did point out how odd it was that the Master knew that SE was alive before SE woke up from the surgery when only SW and HJ knew about it but i feel like that's a red herring.

We know that Do Jae has been following SE for over 3 years (the staff lady mentioned that SE brought Park in when he joined the BH 3 years ago and Chief Kang refered to Park as a former journalist in ep 1). Since SE is a cautious person, Park would have had to have known him for at least 4-5 years may be including their time in HBC to win his trust?

Could it be possible while Park was trying to bring justice to his brother, he crossed paths with the real SE only real SE's distorted mind at the time remembered the events wrong? That it was our SE who tried to kill him instead of his grandfather? And using this memory, he manipulated DJ to believe the same?

I mean just like how our SE has nightmares that he's the one who is drowned, the fake SE might associate his drowning our SE because he did see him.

Park looks way younger than both SE and SW so he would have been too young to really understand/ remember what actually happened at the time of his brother's murder?

(I am making the assumption that the real SE eventually regained his memories back after he made DJ believe that our SE is the killer but continued with the charade because Park is a strong allie)

In a way, behind all the jokes, the story also subtly shows the audience who Sa Eon naturally gravitates towards? He always picks Park over Kang eventhough Kang is the sectional chief whereas Park is an Assistant.

Was SE awake before they showed the scene with the kidnapper? If yes, SE probably contacted PDJ off screen to discuss his findings/ suspicions?

Think we got our answer at the end of ep 9. The only issue is that Master has little control over the kidnapper.

She does have security with her but it's likely he tries not to ovewhelm her/ make her feel watched all the time so he dismisses them when he's around.

(In ep 1 she specifically asked him to not to make it obvious that she has BGs).

Ep 8- Heeju came to the location with the staff so it wouldn't have looked odd if she left with PDJ, his most trusted assistant.

Since the nun knew about it (eventhough she wasn't part of the orphanage at the time), it must have come up at least once right?
