So now she talks?! 🤔
Only with the ML and her dad. HeeJu in a way has reclaimed her voice by choosing who gets to hear voice🙊

Sangwoo was really scared watching SaOn driving like a maniac & barging at his car like that.
This is why i feel that Sangwoo can't be the accomplice honestly. He has his own trauma to deal with. Between his love for HeeJu and fear/ cautiousness around Sa Eon/ potential unresolved fear of the Masked Kid, it's just hard to imagine him as the accomplice🙊

The amusement park scene was so unnecessary and illogical. A person who fell from such a height, is on complete…
She seemed to be on bed rest by this point (they've removed the IV) so may be the hospital staff was more lax with her?

Amusement park- it might be possible that Sa Eon isn'r aware about the traumatic history behind the amusment park? All he saw was a picture of HeeJu looking extremely happy with her siblings there so he might have hoped those memories would relax her before their confrontation?

(Though personally knowing that the accident was the start of HeeJu's hell, it would have made more sense if SE had done more research on it unless he just didn't have the time to)

It's a kdrama anyway so Real Life rules don't apply 🤫

the only things that make me stop thinking of Sang U as accomplice, is that he never wants to hurt Hui Jo and…
The way he reacted when he saw Sa Eon during their confrontation kind of implied that he was genuinely scared of Sa Eon. So it's possible may be that he found more clues related to the missing kids that is connected to the fisherman's store?

We can still assume that the accomplice works for Sa Eon because Chief Kang made a scene before passing the message. If I was Assistant Park, I too would have checked the call history to see who called Chief Kang to get him so excited. Since the fisherman used his business number, it wouldn't have been too difficult to connect the dots if the accomplise was already aware of the fisherman's connection to the Baek family?

The white shoes do complicate things BUT we don't know what's the time difference between SU's visit, the fisherman's attack, and SE's arrival. It's still possible that right after SU met the fisherman, the kidnapper might have attacked the fisherman, and then SE came to the scene? The fire seemed to have been spreading for a few minutes afterall whereas it looked like SU saw SE on the main road abit far from the store.

So he made her to get discharged in the middle of the night so that she'll travel all around the city? A sick…
She was on bed rest at that point. They are rich enough to use the hospital for this and it's also quite safe since there's more security compared to their home which could be compromised too :)

They didn't show the percentsge right? May be the test was specifically to confirm if they were father and son and not to confirm if they were related?

I just love how WTPR prioritizes POVs. Episode 8 finally gave us more insight on why Sa Eon was so cold and "cruel" (as well as blind all this time).

Based on Sa Eon's childhood flashbacks, he was used to a similar kind of love - one that is quiet and extremely subtle but filled with acts of service.
We can see this because his quiet guardian's actions from his childhood are quite similar to how HeeJu always got the best things but never got any words of affirmation.

In SE's POV it wouldn't have ever occured to him that a love starved/ emotionally abused person like Heeju would have taken his actions as hate (specially since he thought that she didn't care about him).

It really is sad how the same situation can be perceived so extremely differently- suffocating to Heeju, while warm and safe to Sa Eon🫠

SPOILER IF YOU DIDN'T WATCH EP 8!!!Based on ep 8, our Sa Eon doesn't seem to have any connection with the Orphanage…
Fl's friend, Sang U, is connected to the missing kids case because he used to play with real Sa Eon as a kid (the mask kid in the flashbacks). He also most likely felt guilty for telling the missing kids about the villa real Sa Eon was living in (this is based on the fact that when SU went to the orphanage with Yuri, he mentioned that the masked Kid had a lot of toys they used to play with and he told the other kids about it to).

Since the missing kids case was never solved/ the police lost interest since nobody was demanding for answers, Sang U feels guilty, so he probably wants to bring justice to them/ find out what happened even if they are probably dead.

So far I don't think Sang U is connected to the Kidnapper's team though.

The kidnapper is working with somebody else. Based on the clues given, it has to be somebody close to our Sa Eon, somebody who was hurt by Sa Eon (the trxter mentioned he wants Sa Eon to know what it's like to lose someone precious), and it has to be somebody tech savvy. The most fitting candidate here is Park DJ (SE's assistant) since SE trusts him with even handling his personal work AND he is tech savvy. He also was close enough to push HeeJu down the cliff (the sleeve from HJ's flashback closely matches Park's sleeve).

We just need to wait till next week i guess🙈

Exactly!

LGG was amazing in Flowers of Evil!!! Fair warning- the drama is very binge worthy so think about your schedule before you start 🙈

POTENTIAL NOVEL SPOILER WARNING!

If they follow the novel, they might go for that thrope but since we only have 4 episodes left, idk if they have time to dedicate for a fake death plot🙈

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm too invested in it for my own good 🙈🙈🙈

Oh also, one of the MDL users pointed out that the person who visited the fisherman was SU because of his shoes 🙈 So there are even more possibilities now (though I'm still sticking to Park as the main suspect)

SML knowing that FL can speak-

Honestly I feel like we are giving Heeju too much credit on the fact that she has kept silent all this time. Yes, she's amazing and super cautious most of the time BUT we also know that there's always room for accidents to happen. So far 3 people close to HJ figured out her secret without her knowledge so may be she may have accidently done something unconsciously?

Since SU and HJ spent alot of their college days listening to music, may be HeeJu accidently hummed or sang without her noticing she was doing it close to SU? Or she did something while she was drunk?

Also SU may have seen Heeju's application to interview as a newscaster? The guy is sharp so he may have connected the dots based on the above?

I think Chairman Hong must have paid for In Ah's surgery orrr she may have used her own money (unlike Heeju, she probably would have had a trust fund or something similar made on her own since she was technically around 29/30 years old at the time of the wedding).

You should totally try Flowers of Evil! Similar vibes except that the MC has a loving relationship (eventhough there's secrets involved)!

The fisherman's son is our SE. The question is, WHY did they bother to adopt him instead of making him disappear…
Exactly! Only Park in the office knew that Sa Eon was going to the villa. Asuming the culprit was close to SE, this is another point against Park🙈

Heeju being there is a coincidence for now but then again sjnce Sang U was the one who reache out to her, it could mean anything🙈

If the preview is correct, Sang U probably followed SE (he is nosy enough to do it) so was able to save them from…
Exactly...as a trained psychologist, he would be good at masking his emotions too and he himself admitted that he has been planning for a long time (even using his YT channel and background to gain as much attention as possible).

Even the Twin theory can still work on him since the Nun at the orphanage joined after the incident so it's possible that she joined after he left (so she wouldn't know what he looked like as a kid)🫠

Ngl I'm loving the fact that his character is so complex instead of makjng him part of a whiney love triangle🙈

The amusement park was Sa Eon's gift to Heeju to replace her traumatic memories of the place with a sweeter one…
Considering the kidnapper situation, i get what you mean. I kept waiting for a jump scare since the kidnapper did say he was coming to get the phone too. The scene made me feel low key anxious 🙈

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
it is for those who consider the assistant to be the culprit(twin brother)
Based on what we know about the assistant so far, he has been by Sa Eon's side for a verrrry long time- even long before they joined the Presidential Office (ep 1- Chief Kang implied that Park was a former reporter/ later one of the female coworkers mentioned that SE brought Park to his team).

Sa Eon may be meticulous for the most part, but he seems to be a little too comfortable with Park- even enough to get his help with Bodyguards and choosing a home for Heeju's dad. We also know that Park is tech savvy or at the very least has tech savvy connections. He could have figured out HeeJu's connection by hacking through something may be?

One thing I'm curious is about SE's marriage records. How easy is to access marrital records in South Korea? If they registered their marriage, there should be a record somewhere right? 🙈

Not yet ...but i think this could be foreshadowing. The preview indicates that Sa Eon survived the fire (and it's public knowledge since he was brought to a hospital). It would be too difficult to fake his death in a place where he doesn't have control of.

It's hard to say honestly since they've changed the plot quite abit.

What I find a bit odd in this show is the ML not learning signs language. How can you love someone so much and…
It's his way of protecting his heart probably?

No SL= no way to communicate with Heeju= no way to connect with her on an emotional level.

He may have known a few basic signs like "it's ok" due to his exposure (and he is smart enough to figure them out if the same terms come up alot like how international fans know certain korean words)🙊
