We saw the k*ller keeping an eye on Sol and SunJae and we saw him burn the evidence before Tae Sung's father Kim…
Gosh i hope not.
The thing is, episode 15 perfectly ties up with what Gium and Sol's bestie mentioned in ep 8 about risking fate and having to sacrifice something to be happy.
Sol and SJ sacrificed so much between ep 1-14. Ep 15 feels like a result of all that sacrifice.
As in : 1. Being able to timetravel and change Sanjae's fate itself gave them a second chance of happiness
2. All the struggles and trauma they had to face between ep 1-14: the sacrifice they had to make because of the chance they got
3. Ep 15- Final Result = Sol will have 100% of Sanjae back- not just alive and well but also all their precious moments across all the timelines

KTS was starving for attention. So that's what may have triggered his behavior in the og timeline.
He kept fighting so that his dad will notice him. The whole reason why KTS fell for Sol also was because she gave him attention. If you look at the early episodes right after our Sol came back to 2008 after young Sol got together with KTS, KTS was attentive to Sol when she fell while chasing after Sanjae. At this point he didn't know that Mature Sol was back. So it's possible that he was actually slowly getting feelings for the 2008 Sol too (she did drown him with attention afterall).
We don't really know if his life was ruined permanently in the original timeline. It was only the bestie's outdated POV.
So it's still possible that Taesung may have turned his life around much later even if he dropped out of school in the original timeline.
The only difference is that in all of Sol's timelines, being friends with Sol made sure his life was better from the beginning.
What I truly love about Lovely Runner is how effortlessly they tie all the loose ends from the previous timelines without really having to waste too much screentime to say it point blank. You just need to keep an 👀 for them🙊
Just to name a few:
- Sanjae's dating history (or lack off if what In Hyuk's fantasy of being Sanjae's crush wasn't really a joke)
- the reason why Granny/ Sanjae and even the rest of the cast had various strengths of their past memories (deja vu moments)
- the real reason why the taxi driver is always after Soljae
- did Sol help the cops catch the taxi driver back in the latest 2008 timeline

Omg you are right! Since it was only "attempted murder", it makes sense to assume Sol helped them stop the original murder from 2008 that happened before her kidnapping. (The blood was pretty fresh in the original 2008 timeline, so it's possible she may have somehow convinced KTS's dad instead of some random cop to look into this before it happened😅😅😅)

I don't think he harmed himself in the original timeline either. In ep 9 (the flashback to Sanjae's stabbing in his room), the taxi driver first tried to drug him unconscious with a white rag but he just couldn't overpower Sanjae, which is why he stabbed him.
But in ep 1, this would have been extremely possible. Sanjae from ep1 didn't react when the bell rang. He was lost in his own world. Since the taxi driver had a copy of his suite key, he could have easily snuck in and drugged Sanjae from behind- and then push his unconscious body down the balcony.
The autopsy wasn't complete when Sol returned to 2023 the first time, so there's still a chance that it wasn't ruled as suicide.
ALSO, there's no chance in hell Sanjae would hurt himself right after he found out his beloved Sol actually cares about him and is grateful for his existence even if it was only as a fan-idol relationship. Even if he tried something, the sight of the candy jar would have stopped him.

Yep, he's still part of Eclipse -in ep 15, when the rest of the band barged into Sanjae's home, In Hyuk mentions how they need to discuss about their next concert.
Guess the reason why Sanjae isn't as recognized is because Sonaki doesn't exist yet in this version of 2023.
