The guy is messed up enough to wait 15 years just so he can kill San Jae.
Also it's canon now that on the night of his death San Jae visits Sol's apartment AND somebody knocks off Sol's mobile at the concert. So chances are, the killer followed San Jae in the first timeline too🙊
And finally, after the way Sol thanked him for being alive in the first timeline, it's hard to imagine he'd kill himself knowing that his death would hurt her as his loyal fan.

I'm really curious how they plan to sort the final time jump ngl. Like the only logical option there is to protect San Jae is to either get rid off the Driver 💀 since even the police couldn't help them both times orrrr cut ties with San Jae before the 2009 incident happens😭 Unless KTS is the key.
