After today's episode, I don't think ZZ has memories from 1st life. There are only 12 episodes left. I don't think there's enough time to give him "memories" because then the show would have to go into a lot more explaining and developing the plot why he needs to have memories. Given that ZZ's arc and story is already cut short, it makes sense the memory component is chopped, too.
The scene where XW consoled JXN by hugging her, from telling her not to give up on the person she loves, to finding an even better guy, to finalizing on looking for a suitable one is so touching. He's trying to do and say everything he could to make her feel better; including most likely changing himself to be the MOST SUITABLE guy for her so that she wouldn't feel so sad since he knows he's also not "GOOD MAN" quality like ZZ based on JXN's "good man" standards.

You're right that they are already connected during their trip to the capital when she saved his life with her blood. Their lives are more intertwined now then they're ready to admit. But XW certainly is awakened to this newfound feelings sooner than she is.
