people claim this to be realistic when the ending is far from it. its the perfect example of fan service. they forced it to have a happy ending in a matter of seconds. nothinf deep and realistic about it. or maybe realistic in the sense that people tend to forgive people easily when they crawl back to them no matter how emotionally abusive they were lol
my main problem with this show is the screenplay and how they handled the characters . do the writers really expect me to sympathize with him after degrading his character continuously in the first 6 episodes? the non linear narrative did not help either. i hate how they waited for episode 7 to reveal his pov after the break up which did not help at all in redeeming his character because i’ve already grown to hate him at this point for how he behaved towards seojoon. his actions were inexcusable, he deliberately inflicted pain to seojoon emotionally and you can’t justify that with his mental health issue. also, it annoys me how they make it seem like seojoon is the only one who is constantly putting effort in the relationship. like at least show jiwoo cares too if you still want the audience to root for them!! i’m all for realistic approaches in series and complex characters but this was poorly executed. they wanted it to make it deep but failed miserably. the only happy ending i will be accepting is when they leave each other alone
how can someone enjoy watching that kiss knowing what jiwoo had done? nothing justifies his year of ghosting regardless of the reason and him acting all cold and bitchy towarda seojoon is infuriating. jiwoo has done nothing but to hurt seojoon. seojoon needs to choose himself this time and leave that man. he’s a walking red flag!!
Those of us who watched this and don't get the rave reviews, let us unite in what we felt was a poorly paced story…
i felt like there was something wrong with me as everyone think this is a masterpiece, I'm glad to see i'm not alone. For me, it was just okay overall. The camera works, lighting and the production design were all exceptionally good, I'll give them that. The story, however, wasn't engaging and interesting enough (i'm a fan of a well done slowburn romance and this was just painfully slow with no development), it did not even offer anything new in contrast to what other people were saying. I agree with your point that the character relationship was so abrupt like they missed to include a whole chunk of their development. I also wasn't fully convinced on their attraction towards each other. The questions of how, when, and why did they start liking each other are left unanswered. I hope they had used the first few episodes to build on their relationship but nah. Also, the couple is forgettable, I couldn't care less about them. I didn't even feel anything during their scenes coming from a person who easily gets butterflies from wholesome scenes and I blame it all on the script
it isn’t a het drama posing as a bl. from what i’ve picked up from this, male hayeon and female hayeon are very different from each other personality wise. present hayeon left him after finding out the truth leaving yeonseok to contemplate on who really is love in with, the past or the present. In the end, yeonseok chose the present hayeon who is very much a male. yeonseok even acknowledged that he is a male, so its still a bl. he’s bisexual technically
Absolutely not.... Color Rush made sense and had a deep plot, while this was just scene jumping with a cliché…
story wise, it also has so many plotholes. some scenes also don’t make any sense. the acting and chemistry are very much nonexistent. at least kissable lips had a decent chemistry and its entertaining at least. color rush didn’t give anything.
I just yelled THE RING THE RING IT'S NEXT TO THE BLOODY PHOTOGRAPH!!!! at the screen. Though sad it was an understandable…
i remembered in the beginning that he needs blood from someone who’s in love with him. that’s the reason why junho pursued minhyun in the first place. to make him fall in love
