haha yes indeed it is. I wasnt expecting much when I started watching this when it started airing, but right now I have to say it is my absolute favourite. I even started actually using this site to share my love of it with other people and have written a review which you should read if you can be bothered:P anyway we all have different tastes so it is too much to expect that you feel the same way a as i do about secret!

I know where youre coming from, but we have to understand that yoo jung and do hoon were a couple who had been together for 7 years. so to her, helping him, paying for his school fees is only natural. she doesnt see her life without him which is why she is so desperate to help him and ignore the fact that his mum hates her. also, yoo jung doesnt know that he left ji hee to die, she thinks he didnt see her either just as she didnt.
Not everyone is bright and nice, there are negative people in this world who do very cruel things.and you dont have to like the characters in a drama in order to enjoy it. i personally loved min hyuks character and hated do hoon. and after this drama am a big fan of both the actors.

Se yeon didnt kill ji hee, it was still technically do hoon that killed her. Se yeon told ji hee to leave that night at the cafe which resulted in her rushing out and being in the crash. Although she played a part in her death, it wasnt intentional.

the reason she gives her life for do hoon is because she loves him with all her being. While it is obvious to us that she shouldnt trust him, she doesnt know that because at least till this point, he has done nothing wrong and is a decent person trying to fight against unjust. And also keep watching and you will see how the love story between min hyuk and yoo jung develops, you shouldnt go into a drama questioning the end from the very first episodes!

I disagree with you because Min hyuk had know for a very long time that yoo jung was not the one responsible for the accident. So when Do Hoon finally confessed, it wasnt like "this is the truth, you finally get to know it moment" for him, it was more of a "haha this is the truth and you cant do anything about it!" his confession had no impact on min hyuk except surprise him as he hadnt realised the depth of do hoons cruelness. Min Hyuk knew yoo jung was innocent all this time which is why he was trying to bring do hoon down, so he pays for all his crimes. That realisation had come to him a long time ago and it was crushing him when he saw yoo jung in pain.

I know that everyone has their own opinions and feel different about every drama, but I disagree when you said it is just like any other korean drama. The reason people loved secret so much is because it is NOT like the typical korean drama. I know that it has they rich guy poor girl plot, but thats not the point. I personally was in love with this because it was so amazingly made, it didn't have stupid dialogues that made you go "huh?". I have seen more than 40 kdramas myself and didnt think this was all that obvious at all. It was interesting to see how the love story would come about and if you go and read comments on Viki on each episode it is people guessing how it will end. No one knew for certain how it would end and that it is another beauty of it
I think you didnt notice some of the best things about this drama because you were just concentrating on things you didnt like haha :P
