The king I think was the one who used meng Rui's brother as substitute to save 4th prince aka li si .Cause when he spoked to the eunuch he seems to talk about the 4th prince as he is alive.He might have declared him death to protect him.Also the master or shifu is definitely linked to Lou tian ming .It seems they also part of what happened 17 years ago.

I'm kinda changing my mind on the emperor it seems he actually cared for the 4th prince (aka li si) .I have a strong belief he might be the one who ordered for substiting lisi with meng rui's brother 17 years ago to protect 4th prince.something must have happened at that time for him to stage the 4th prince death. Cause the eunuch and the emperor talked as if he is alive and that the emperor was forced to chose the country. I think it's something related to the people of lilou.Maybe they conspired with the princes to murder 4th prince aka lisi and the emperor was afraid of their power so he had to do that. Idk but it seems something forced the emperor to do all that

I'm very satisfied by the ep13 and 14 like it had so many plot twist omg .Also in the trailer of 15 and 16 it seems li si is closer to his revenge. I like the drama so so much .This is one of the dramas where the plot itself is so interesting that I forget I first started to watch it for the actors .

He just all high and mighty.In reality he is a coward who is afraid of the truth being exposed

Aye it's explained in the drama .This evil ass organization is involved in all of this to overthrow the whole kingdom of shi .This organization's people are the people of lilou(ruler of the country overthrown and killed by former emperor shi but it said that lilou was evil so are his people) .So they want to bring back lilou's reign meaning they want to rule the country. that's why they first started causing chaos for first they supported the princes and plot murder against the fourth prince (cause the 4th prince was clever and emperor wanted him to be the next emperor ),then they tried to kill general bai and fake the murder of northern kunlan's prince to start war. By doing all this they tried to distabilize kingdom of shi . After kingdom shi let's say was completely war torn , lost it's important people and becomes weak. The people of lilou use that opportunity to easily defeat the country and take it for power. This is their end goal to takeover the whole country.

After watching everything is clear to me now ‼️(Spoiler Warning again I'm writing very important factors of the story So I suggest watch before reading my comment)‼️
-Li Si is the 4th prince

-His eldest and 2nd brother aka crown prince and 1st princes are the one plotted his murder 17 years ago
-The current emperor is the father of all the prince that means the head of the current bureau is the aunt/half aunt to princes including Lisi cause the empress was her sister (the empress isn't the mother of all the princes)

- Li si seems to want revenge against his father and brothers according to the talk he had with constable frost aka lady bai

- Also the crown prince is a asshole who takes money from Li Si , alcoholic and wife beater .ugh I hate him so much now .He is so evil

- The kid who substituted Li Si (aka zhou yan ,4th prince) 17 years ago in hunting ground and died was meng rui's (aka shen jing'an ) little brother name is sheng lan 8 years old. So everyone believes it was 4th prince died in reality it was sheng lan who was staged to die.

-lou tian ming working with secret organization call "night" seem to have connections with both meng Rui's family aka shen family's disappearence and staging the death of 4th prince. Plus it seems Li Si was also abducted by them for sometime .

Well we might not know what's the real reason .I also have another theory maybe the ones that gets popular in Chinese social media gets targeted.... yayy "bright time " one of my top bromance dramas . Everything was satisfying in that drama.

Long story short Zhang hayang/hailou was unreliable lol . He didn't even believed / bothered to learn that southern archives were real or it was connected to the zhang family. Zhang haixia was diligent in every aspect . He learned everything that's why master/ miss haiqi told him all the zhang family secrets plus tattoos.

It was " the way home " it was released in 2024 . At that few people knew about zhang kangle and ma boquan (the two leads)

Not only that the scene of the master making hailou true zhang family member happens way earlier even before he jianxia ? (I forgot his name )gave the money notes with symbols to hailou.

Oh god It sucks so much . I would have agreed with you on the actors being famous but they did the same thing in another drama that had almost unknown actors .

the actions of the master is heavily misinterpreted in the drama almost to cause misunderstanding among fans.The novel has far better explanation for her . she is actually very reasonable and collected in the novel. For example the whole scene of her beating hailou after haixia dies didn't happen in novel. In novel she actually comforts him and gives him detail explanation of his mistake.

I'm devastated cause so many scenes that were essential to explain the bond between haixia and hailou is gone . Sometimes it even feels awkward especially when they're emotional like even in real life we would hug/shoulder pat our family or friends after something traumatic right? Not even that seemingly pure innocent scenes where they're eating & drinking together or riding bike is also deleted. Is the Chinese government becoming more insane day by day ? Nah Something needs to be done . I need the director's cut version after it's finished releasing or somebody with editing skills editing the scenes into the drama.

I am honestly tired of fights between bromance and toxic bl fans.Whenever there is a bromance drama toxic bl fans always try to claim it.Like there are thousands of bl dramas produced already from Thailand,Korea,Japan every year.Even china is making them nowadays.So why can't y'all just enjoy those instead of fighting over bromance dramas.Many people genuinely likes bromance/ friendship dramas like me.It has it's own unique charm in itself.It gives me a refreshing feeling that I don't get from romance nor bl.Also it's rare to find bromance dramas.So when I get one I get excited.So please stop fighting and enjoy the drama regardless of the plotline and tags.

Yes they are brothers in novel too.Though they are not blood related.They were adopted by their godmother.The author portrayed their relationship as big brother and little brother dynamic.
