I agree with you: It does make sense that Ji Ahn would have feelings for him. She really knows thanks to the listening of the recordings and she knows he's a great person. He taught her and protected her a lot. And most of all they do have a similar take on life (also he's older and "wiser".
I think though it's turning kind of romantic because Adjussi also have feelings for her. You can see it when he's looking for her, when he fights for her and in the last scene when he's obviously very conflicted.
I doubt though that they'll end up together because she's still really young compared to him and I doubt he could ever do that. My guess is that one of them (probably Ji Ahn) is going to move away.
