I finished it. I found him creepy and possessive douche though. Yes he's in a codependent relationship growing up a toxic family and all, but it's not justifiable. He does protect FL in his own way. The way he acted with SY is more than a protective brother, controlling, may be not as much as the mother. Erasing SY's message on the window glasses showed his true color. It's not about him wanting to save her from mother but wanting her for himself. He does have a good character growth by the end.

That makes her shittier and more passive though.

Yes, in Boss and Me, No one really punished/admonished the SFL and SML by extension for the shit they pulled. It's like it never happened. It's indeed the worst case afaik even after multiple rewatches.
