For the record, hyojin has worked with multiple actors with different age ranges and she has ALWAYS had chemistry with them so if this drama lacks in that aspect (which I doubt) then we know who it is on

People under here acting like 7 years difference is a big deal but if it was a younger actress and an older man they wouldn't bat an eyelash lol. Anyway, the only reason I wouldn't want Gong Hyojin to take this would be because his stans worship him like he is Jesus and I don't want such a great actress who has always done amazing projects to go through that. Would absolutely love to see her in this genre tho

I still dont understand how some actors agree. I get its upto the casting directors but as main leads especially do you not have a say in who you wanna work with? I understand it might not be possible for younger actors but those well known in the industry for more than a decade? I believe they should voice out their opinions

Was probably iconic for its time (11 Years ago) but now this won't fly at all lmao. It had some cute moments and a younger me loved it but the current one that has realized and learnt so much just sees this as a form of harassment and narcissism and its horrible

I do however wish they remake this because enemy to lovers (kinda) is one of my fav tropes but let's make the lead more sensible and less narcissistic while the female lead doesn't have Stockholm syndrome. People grow up and I am sure the writers, producers and actors have too and know there is lot that is wrong in this.

never letting you get bore sounds awfully light now that I think about it lol. What I mean is it keeps your attention despite having a dark theme. This also got a lot of praises from korean men who had served their mandatoty military service and how this does a good job of portraying the experience

One of the best shows I watched this year along with move to heaven...not really the same genre but both are masterpieces. I personally believe this deserves a higher rating even tho it's already 8.8 rn. Watch it, it's short and holds a lot of emotion while also never letting you get bored

I agree with everything you have here tbh I think these dramas could have been 16 eps and it would have worked a little better. I think there are things in Love O2O that I prefer because for YAMG, the first half of the show was playing games and I really wasn't interested in it because it didn't have a story like the loveo2o one did (which I didn't care about either but I do prefer that)

And the latter half of YAMG was the rocket thing which again not a fan of. The drama was too slow and I had a lot of expectations

If the same drama was done by some other less famous leads I doubt everyone would be giving it glorious reviews lmao. Chinese romcoms need to step up their game imo they are all either in a very similar format or just boring

For the looney one they chose to go with something more realistic because showing him actually overcome it would have sent the wrong message to the viewers while also downplaying what drugs really do to your life and even your loved ones. As far as the other two go...its from the pov of how the prisoners see it. You don't stay connected to your cellmates and bond with them or even keep in touch. They mention in the series how prison is not a place you wanna make friends at and you just shouldn't. As viewers you saw their bond I feel the same as you but realism was important to the show

It is scary how some people are defending him under here. This man needs to vanish off of the face of earth but no instead people wanna send him gifts. He got away with such a lighter sentence it makes my blood boil. You cannot tell me that the korean drama industry just doesnt run properly without him because we were just fine before he started to reappear. There are a million other actors that can do the same roles as him but no instead they keep on casting him.

And he is a rapist and yet getting roles but if a female actor even raises her voice she will suddenly get so much hate that you will never see her again. The double standards oh my god!

Also the actors taking up roles knowing he is gonna be a part of the same drama.....I dont know what to think about yall
