Why are so many of people comparing it to The Guest? Aren't they different stories? I plan to watch The Guest at another time but at the moment I'm going to watch this one.
I don't think that anyone is gonna be interested in a season 2. first of all, they had a happy ending. and even…
I'm interested, I am halfway done with season 1 and plan to finish it this week. I'm intrigued by that universe and would love to see more of it. Besides how can I not watch a show about Xu Feng and Jin Mi's kids? Love the OTP so much I know I'll love their kids as well. I want them to do something a little different with this one. Maybe go a little more darker than season 1.
So I'm halfway through the drama... JS needs to go.
Like you think "I won't do it again" is going to fix everything? First he forces marriage on her just to save his own skin, he come as pleases, keeps touching her while she's sleeping, take her to his hotel room to sleep with her while she unconscious (that's rape you know) and when she's at the hospital, he threatens her not to push him.
This man does whatever he wants and continually ruins her life. If I get my hands on him...
Look Cheng, I love you. You are also Season 1 Cheng but I can't have you getting in the way of our Cheng Cheng, okay? I have to root for Original Cheng Cheng. He went through so much and he deserves her a lot more than you... even though you might be the same person, I gotta root for Cheng Cheng! I still love you Cheng.
They really ended the show with what it was named...
But I feel they had 5 ways to end this:
1. To not kill him off.
2. DI could had taken possession of someone's body if this person was alright with it and lived out his life with YW. Something like that.
3. Show them together in their next lives.
4. Kill off DI at the beginning of this and instead of a romance, have it been a friendship with YW. Instead of making them and us go through all that mess to find out he was still alive just to die in the end.
5. Kill off both DI and YW and we see them together in the afterlife.
Like killing DI off what was the point of even bringing him back after?
I loved this show but I'm glad it's over and I have to take points off for that ending.
The show was good, it got me hooked from the start. The problem was the writing, I felt like some of it could have gone better. Like to how ghosts work, SWH story was dragged out for too long and the ending was kinda a mess. Even though DI and YW were reunited, he's still dead and if they can really be together it's when they're both reincarnated and meet in their next lives. What was the point going through all of this to find out that he was still alive and just to die in the end?
I could have done with more plot twists like DI being SWH's brother which some of us actually thought they were going to do. Because a brother wasn't even mentioned when they were first starting to learn about her so why was only being brought up until that certain moment? If he was dead what was the point of him being mentioned later?
I applaud the cast, they did good. I loved the show. the writing is what wrong. But I did enjoy watching it.
Don't be sad...BECAUSE WE'RE GETTING SEASON 2!!!http://www.dramapanda.com/2018/10/ashes-of-love-season-2-announced.html
How is it a bad thing though? Yes next season will have a new main cast which is their children and we don't even know for sure that the old cast won't make an appearance. Nothing has been said, they might surprise us. I'm halfway though season 1 and believe their story will be wrapped up so why drag it out in another season? I'm new to this show and I love it. So if they want to continue to explore that world and do a story about the kids, I do not mind at all.
I really loved this one. Both D.O. and NJH did an fantastic job, can't wait for their next projects! Excited for Swing Kids and can he please do another historical drama? Maybe Goryeo next time? I've been craving another Goryeo drama.
Okay so I have some understand to what's going on.
This is how I'm doing it or I'm just going to confuse myself again, lol(: We have two Chengs in the same timeline. Season 1 Cheng/Original Cheng. Then we have the other Cheng who is Season 2 Cheng but is technically still Season 1 Cheng.
So the recap a little bit of the ending on Season 1 however they do a bit of a twist. We saw Original Cheng travel to the future and reunite with XT however he ends up a year before she went to the past. Even though he's reunited with her it's not that he can't get her to remember, she just doesn't know him yet.
By ep 2, she goes to the past but not by the bed this time. Things are going a bit differently so it's like an alternate version of Season 1. But here's the real plot twist, instead of two Tans'... we have two Chengs'. The quiet/polite Tan is dead, we saw her for a bit but not long. We could possibly get flashbacks but at the moment Modern Day Tan has complete control over the body and there will be going no back and forth. Season 1 Cheng/Original Cheng who traveled to the modern day is also back historical days but he's not back to the historical look. He's still looking modern day and there's another Cheng! Instead of having them in the same body or just having one Cheng, we have two Chengs out both at the same time! One has to hide from the other one! This isn't fair! We have to root for Original Cheng but what about the other one? He's still Season 1 Cheng as well! This is too much...
Here I thought that they both traveled back to get a better happy ending in the historical times and then return to modern day but nope! We get this instead... Is it wrong that I'm kinda loving this, LOL!
