I really hope we don't follow the footsteps of Li Xian's republican drama: A Love Never Lost as mentioned previous. I searched it up on Iqiyi and it's in the same stages as Story of Kunning Palace. There are even episode previews on their website just like Story of Kunning Palace. This seems to be hopeless now. Seems like another drama will replace it.
