people have been upset with her since before gap was filmed but they didn't change the novel for that and since gap did well the other companies bought her novels to chase that hype. in some cases it worked out well, if they changed the majority of the plot, but nobody has been thrilled about her adaptations

she sexualised becky when she was a teenager around gap time. there was something she did around Hitler, i don't remember what exactly. all of her writing is genuinely so problematic - for example the whole blank situation, that weird ass sister plot in affair, made a whole book about sisters in love, and has produced some of the worst writing I've ever seen in my life (I've read a lot of books fyi) like it rivals colleen hoover with how weird it is. so yeah, I'd say so.

because it's not a second season. it's lucky there's even 4 eps because specials are usually 1-2 eps

her character in ditto technically doesn't have a pair, it's a shared book with earn's character but not in the way you'd expect. it's them two and a love interest but no love triangle idk how to explain it 😭

we don't need to worry about love's echoes too much. both june and mewnich are fluent in sign language, they are both actresses who put their all into their roles and know how important this representation is. the director is also a lesbian so she will be able to guide them very well in romance departments (not that they need it they were incredible in whale store)

they're a little freaked out about the plot. they'll come around soon once more of the story is revealed like they did for love beyond dreams

you all need to remember this is a special not a second season. it's not gonna have the episode count that you're expecting. just be happy you are getting more content of them at all. i'm very excited to see what they've chosen to do with it

don't worry there's sane people the agree with you. the first few episodes were really good it just went downhill after that each ep. people are just blinded by the fake bl side of things to see anything over than 'omg they're so in love 🥺'
