So this was just a question but when yu tu didnโt give zhai liang the extra ticket then what did that mean?…
exactly! in his head, he wasn't deserving of her anyway - he didn't want to get her hopes up (as well as his own) and make her an even bigger part of his life. i feel like to him, introducing her to his friends would be a huge step - as he says in his later confession: he was considering a lifetime
So this was just a question but when yu tu didnโt give zhai liang the extra ticket then what did that mean?…
i am not sure if this is correct but this is the way i understood it: i think he knew that their "relationship" would end after the tournament - that he would say goodbye. he didn't want to introduce someone else, let someone else in to what was out of his reach/ something he would have to say goodbye to.
Why does Yang Yang keep accepting gaming dramas? This is already his 3rd one. Anyone know? Im just curious. Dont…
For this one, the writer really wanted him to have this role - i think he also did some movies (?) These last two years that have nothing to do with gaming ๐
I think calling it overhyped kind of disregards the target audiences. This drama is meant for a slightly older…
Exactly, everything was so delicately done. You can tell this novel was adopted with an incredible eye for detail and a lot of thought. Every problem was treated the way it should've. This drama is just a great piece of visual story telling and i think this is what counts. It really made me realize the advantages of filming over books, they utilized their medium incredibly well
Although I've become an addict of C-dramas because they are so cute and sweet (I just watched Crush and Falling…
I think calling it overhyped kind of disregards the target audiences. This drama is meant for a slightly older audience. The story flows well, there is no major plot hole - especially if you think about character motivation. Plus, both JJ and YT did change - the change is only more subtle and you only fully realize them around ep 27-30. Plus, their relationship has to be the healthiest and best dynamic i have ever seen in a chinese drama. Which is something i, personally, have been hoping for since forever. It also subverts troupes like the rich ceo. Visually, especially for a contemporary drama, this drama is outstanding. The music is good. The actors did a great job expressing subtle emotions and building the character. The people that have been looking for a drama like this have gotten all they want - and more. It deserves the hype.
(And this is completely disregarding its success in china)
Yes, watching with good sub is important. It is not easy to know what is going on just by looking at their facial…
Skin is basically a visual change for the character that you are playing (that you can buy). The nexus is the main objectionn that needs to be destroyed to win - the big thing that always breaks shortly before the "victory" or "defeat"โธ sign shows up when they are playing. I think the sentence "nexus and i are tired" needs the mental add on of "of being destroyed" i.e. tired of losing
Am I the only one disappointed by the time jump? The drama spent 15 episodes on the video game but only 5 episodes…
The drama is a pretty close adaption from the novel. The novel ends once they get together (aka episode 21) and the rest of the episodes are actually the episodes. It makes sense that there is a break in continuity. Of course, they could've added stuff between the time they get together and the time jump but i guess they wanted to stick to the original material as close as possible. Makes me wonder, tho - the standard drama length is 24,32 or 40 episodes - i don't know much more they could have filled
But I've noticed that too!
