He actually is very desperate! Think about it! He is pressured because of all his responsibilities, he is in constant immortal pain due to the spikes, he can’t summon his hellfire to protect her and she will die if she doesnt remove the bone orchid bracelet unless she removes it herself! The thing I hate the most in dramas is noble idiocy and I steer clear from watching dramas with those but for here I understand his motives. He just doesnt want her to die
