I agree with that as well actually. The experiences and plots will be different of course, since experiences vary. But I feel like we should see a bit more GL regardless. I understand what you mean by “those I did start didn’t have an interesting plot or characters.” Like I said, a really good one has yet to be released… But I will just keep hoping for one! :)

Moving on, about the GL you mentioned, I actually just finished that one recently. I thought it was decent. If you like funny dramas, I don’t think you will hate it. Sadly, I found it rather mediocre. A fun watch, but not life-changing.

If the ending is good, I’ll definitely be rating it a 9. It’s one of the best I’ve seen in a while! But usually if I like a drama enough to give it a score above 8, I wait in case i don’t like the ending. 😅

Yes! Most of the characters that come across as “over-the-top” to some people are based off of manga characters. I also think he did a wonderful job as Taichi.

Ah, that sucks. So basically it is just dragging on? Kind of shocking since the description says “and it becomes his goal to win Jane’s heart.” That puts me under the impression that their relationship is the main thing in the drama! But, I haven’t watched even a second of it yet, so I really can’t judge. I think I’ll still watch it for OffGun. (Though I couldn’t get past ep 3 of Cooking Crush… Hopefully I enjoy this one more.)

Seriously. Most Japanese dramas have characters like this, it doesn’t bother me.

I would also like to see older characters in BL or GL. Though, there aren’t many GL’s out there that aren’t disturbingly executed.. So far, i’ve only come across a few that didn’t make me, a gay woman, uncomfortable. I see a lot of GL’s that are unnecessarily vulgar and obviously written by men for men. (For example, “Yuri or Another.” That one made me suuuper uncomfortable.) I would love to see more good GL’s in the near future! They can be just as good as BL, so I’ve no idea why we don’t have more. (Sorry for the kinda long and off-topic reply!)

Agreed! I’ve seen some people saying this drama is too slow or that there isn’t enough romance. But I personally think this drama is perfect. It’s main focus is not really on romance, more the character’s personalities and hardships individually. It’s slow burn as well, which is obvious from the beginning of this drama. They are taking time getting to know each other and we’re seeing their relationship grow with each episode, which I really like! They are obviously into each other, but they aren’t rushing it.
Also, I completely agree with you that romance does not have to be physical intimacy. Some couples can be more emotionally attracted to each other than they are physically. This really depends on the person.
Maybe it’s just me, but I enjoy shows like this one loads more than the ones that are fast-paced! Also, the acting IS great!

At this point, I think i’ll have to rewatch once all the episodes come out because I don’t remember much from previous episodes. 😂

I think i’ll wait for it to finish airing. 😅Hopefully they’ll become more romantic in the remaining episodes then? I haven’t watched it yet, but this sounds frustrating! Has there been no romance between the main couple?
