i thought the lab experiment was pretty clear despite not explained bluntly? just a bunch of rich people investing…
it was pretty clear yes especially because its a plotline thats quite common but i think i may have missed the part where Jeonbok was looking to find a cure for her family? is it because Chaeni was sick that Jeonbok was looking for a way to save her, thus eventualy resulting in the heart transplant? also big agree i wanna find out a lot more about Chaeni and Unjeongs backstoryy
Honestly don’t really care too much about why the grandma invested. I’m a little curious about Chaeni’s…
yeah true that was just one example i gave but i thought about that too. i also get that the focus wasnt on giving a whole backstory so its not that important cos youre just positioned to experience the story in the time period as we see it. im thinking Juran survives cos theres no way that all the wunderkinder kids died so easily.. also if theres a s2 i hope we see more of Unjeongs side effects and maybe why he didnt get it as harsh as the others?
maybe they will explain most of the background in s2?
thats fair, could be hard for them to fit everything into 8 eps nicely, and the impact of that on the pacing and what they were able to include is definitely a valid criticism, but i agree it was still nice
this was just okay for me, like yeah i could enjoy it but the issues i had with it unfortunately outshown that a little. i felt like the show lacked substance overall, they didn't delve into the actual backstory much and im left with many unanswered questions and lacking more of what could've been. like who exactly is Chaeni"s grandma? why did she donate towards the experiments and why is she an important figure with so much money? i wish we could've seen more than just grandma saying im sorry and i know this wont change anything but i just wanted to do something. like as viewers what does that actually mean to us when we dont know the reasons behind it in the first place? i also feel like they had many anti-climatic scenes and took the easy way out, just my opinion but i dont like how Juran accidentally killed Horan in the end.. it was a good way to pass the time though, i wouldnt rewatch this and im actually surprised so many people liked it so much but im glad it was better for others
im loving this but kinda hard to get through cos it's kinda triggering for me 😭 as someone who also experienced school refusal to some extent due to mental health issues,,
depends on how comfortable you are with your family i suppose but i will say there are confronting scenes of drug use and withdrawal symptoms that can be intense, i personally wouldn't watch it with my family but up to you really. There aren't any very explicit scenes from what i can remember.
i really enjoyed this one, last few episodes weren't as great as the rest in my opinion (think they leaned into cliche tropes too much, and the reveals and answers to core plot questions weren't great) but still think it's really worth watching especially if you're into this genre because i think they did it quite well!
i enjoyed it, not amazing but a solid watch that helped pass the time. i don't regret watching it as it was pretty entertaining. worst character was the father for suree he's spineless
Genuinely exceeded my expectations I love this show so much!! Sure it's different from the donghua, and that's so okay!! It's its own adaptation and I really respect it for what it is. I recommend you to give it a try!!
this show had so much going for it and i loved so much of it, but the writing of the story is kinda horrible. they dont explain anything until later, which i understand is a storytelling technique, but to ostracize your viewer? lets just say the amount of confusion i had of the characters motives, and the reasoning behind their behaviour, or just what the hell they were feeling, really interrupted my watching experience
also big agree i wanna find out a lot more about Chaeni and Unjeongs backstoryy
