Yeah but it makes no sense cause she’s been speaking like this from start. Hyunseo always has a somewhat cold expression, and never really came off as a bright or positive person so when he said he liked people like that I was like why has he been going for her this whole time then? It’s honestly just other girls showing interests in him making him act like this cause the excuses he’s been giving don’t make sense

Honestly, I’m not even rooting for any couple. I don’t understand Hyukjoon. I get that he could want to get know others especially as he felt Hyunseo didn’t reciprocate his feelings but after she expressed herself, he said he was happy. Now he feels they’re not compatible with their hobbies just because she doesn’t like travelling when their first conversation was literally about their common interests. I just feel like he needs to communicate with her properly cause since the past episodes he’s just been giving himself excuses of not liking her but then still saying she’s his top choice and it’s starting to feel like he’s leading her on

Also, I’ve seen people badly criticising Bai Lu but I think she genuinely played the role really good and as someone who has watched most of her dramas, I can say embodied Ye Li’s character because I didn’t associate her actress self with her at all.

Honestly I think I have to give this drama credit for a different storyline. Most revenge historical dramas have had the same predictable plot but this was genuinely a new story and set of character personalities that I haven’t seen before.

I think the drama did struggle with giving proper closure for some of the side characters and also there were some questions left unanswered but all in all this was a very good watch in my opinion as I went in with zero expectations but this brought me out of my drama slump for like whole year

yeah and the girls also are more into girls so it’s kind of like everyone here is mostly gay tbh

My favourite is definitely Heejin, she’s very gorgeous but also has this masculine appeal like kind of like Han so hee. For the guys, it’s kind of clear they are more into men than girls lol but fair enough

these for episodes were the biggest waste of time and idk why they dragged for 3 weeks. they should have stuck to the first experiment setting

I think people have way too high of expectations, the previous day the other guy asked if she was cold and offered her a heat pack so she thought maybe it’s him. Even the judges couldn’t figure out that it was hyukjoon it only obvious to himself. the point is the main reason he wanted to get to know other girls is because they showed interest in him, even if Hyunseo didn’t do anything he would’ve still been open to get to know anyone that showed interest which is not even a bad thing. But like no need to lie and say you wouldn’t give anyone a chance when she asked him. Yes I know Hyunseo was the one who said she has 2 options which is good cause at least she didn’t lie

it’s not about changing your mind, the issue is lying about it. Hyunseo already told him she was curious about 2 people and when she asked if he wanted to get to know anyone else, he said no. Like why lie? he should’ve have just said maybe there isn’t one person in particular but he’s open if a girl is interested. It’s not like she asked him to like only her or sth

I didn’t say lame, I said random. Realistically if the issue bothered him so much he could’ve just asked straightforward, it’s not an actual reason to want to get to know others after you’ve been saying you’re closed off this whole time.

Again, nothing wrong with him exploring it’s a dating show but people using hyunseo’s actions as an excuse when he really just wants to cause he found out others are interested in him.

I don’t understand why people are flaming Hyunseo for the gift issue, I think she thinks the gift isn’t from him so she doesn’t want to say anything, even the judges didn’t guess that it was him. And about him being sick, they only showed it at the end of the episode and him randomly saying she wasn’t concerned enough. I don’t think she intentionally ignored it or thought that deeply it doesn’t mean she doesn’t like him cause I’m also the same. And for the tumbler why didn’t he just straight up tell her he gave her the gift rather than testing her.

I think he just wants to get to know other girls which is completely fair as this a dating show but he’s using random excuses about Hyunseo to justify it. I never really like it anyways when a guy closes off his options too early cause they never stick to it and it’s not fair to both themselves and the girl

I think you mixed up the names. Hyunjin is the first girl that showed up. For her picking Sihyun, I can’t really blame her cause when it was just 3 of them he kept taking care of her and showing interest whereas junseung looked like he didn’t want to be there. besides in her interview, she said she won’t go for someone not interested in her

I think he just wants competition, he’s aware Jinyoung likes him so he wants to win her over whereas Hyunjin feels like a safe bet. I think the whole thing he said about marriage was a lie

I liked the first 2 episodes, it was wholesome and felt different from other dating shows. Episode 3 and 4 were kind of boring and I’m not rooting for any of the love lines. Si hyun and Jinyoung are both leading on Hyunjin and junseung but I can’t even blame them cause the show didn’t make actual opportunities for them to explore. Also, Sihyun clearly doesn’t know what he wants and I think the hosts were right about just being competitive and wanting both girls to like him. I feel like if Hyunjin knew Sihyun was more curious about jinyoung she would give him space and try to get to know Jun seung but Jun seung is so fixated on jy so it seems pointless.

I like Hyunjin tho, she’s looks pretty, elegant and has a funny personality. I doubt any relationship for this batch would last unlike the first so I hope Hyunjin at least gets some exposure for her acting career.

You’re not really supposed to enjoy the romance, the emperor wasn’t exactly a good partner and Wei Ying luo mostly used him. The story is about Ying luo herself, I think she actually liked Fuheng but in all there was no one she loved more than herself which is the whole point of her character
