It’s just really hard for me to like her. I don’t like the ways she’s using to survive, that’s all. Whether she had another way of doing it, that’s not my point. I just don’t like the way she’s doing it.

Everyone says that. I know I’m watching the same drama. It doesn’t make it less hard to sympathize with a manipulative person. How is that hard to understand?

A Chou is so manipulative, it’s kinda hard to sympathize with her.

Also, she’s trying to make Lu Zhou fall in love with her so she can stay married to him/keep the status. When she doesn’t really have feelings for him. Idk I think it might be the writers fault for not showing her emotions behind all of this? I’ve seen that troupe before in LITC but for no moment I thought MingYi was morally grey/almost evil. It’s just the way they are portraying A Chou. But then again I’m still in ep 6, I can change my mind later on.

I think you gotta put yourself in their shoes. Not just A Chou shoes. But yeah she’s evil, no one is denying that here?

I don’t think you can call a person who manipulate others to get what they want, playing with their feelings, good. (I’m talking about the end of ep 6 specifically). Btw did she really drug the incese? I was a bit confused about the part, I’m watching it dubbed so there will be a few mistranslations.

I’m enjoying this a lot.I’m on ep 6.But I can’t really see the difference in personalities between them anymore. I thought one would be good and one evil. It’s more like one is evil and the other one morally grey/almost evil too.

I'm relatively new to c-dramas and costume/fantasy dramas are my favorite. But is there a drama with no reincarnation troupe? OMG I hate it. He died HOW MANY TIMES? 3? 4? I LOST COUNT.

Oh! for sure studying abroad was important to her. But it wasn't really something I cared about watching, that's what I meant. It wasn't a very interesting plot to grab my attention.

I really enjoyed the first 18 episodes. The drama was good until they got together. After that I really struggled to continue watching this. There was absolutely nothing that made me want to keep watching it. Their relationship was cute but in a cringe way which is understandable, that's how a lot of couples are, but I'm not interested in watching couples being couples FOR 10 episodes. And the fact that she wanted to study abroad was not a big deal at all for me. Yeah, she's going to go and then she's going to come back, they will probably fast forward it. It's not a major plot to extend this drama for so many episodes after they started dating. Also, later on the ML started to piss me off with all the lecturing, it struck a nerve. It's a shame I had to drop my very first c-drama.
