Yes, agreed. However I was pointing out more to the story lines of these 'bromances'. So much more interesting than some of (or a lot of) the Thai BLs. As a huge BL fan I have to say there's barely been an interesting one out of Thailand this year. For most I could barely get past episode 1!

Does anyone ever feel that there are moments in an Asian drama where a hug or caress is required but doesn't happen? There's no affectionate interaction between parent and child or even b/f~g/f. Makes it hard to digest the relationship sometimes.
I'm not sure I've explained this properly, but I always feel at certain moments just a touch on the cheek or a hug could convey so much more than words do or even a look does.
