i initially agreed with this comment because she seemed to have a boundary between people who deserve her ire and those who do not. now, that she maligned her step-brother and set up her boss, i can no longer do so. she doesn't even need to lie. her father attacked her and her boss came to save her, i found her a strong character in the beginning, but the lying makes her weak. i liked that she stood up for herself, even if she manipulated the situations she was in. now, she's just making up shit.

i hope they introduce us to a third family soon.

in his jail-room testimony at the public hearing, (ex-)prosecutor said that he made his determination because he feared a justifiable defense verdict may influence the chinese public. his statement invalidate any claim that he made his decisions based on the law or prosecutorial procedures. i feel this show is just low-key teaching chinese viewers to lack empathy unless it's to protect predators.. if they're just using defendants as examples to control the public, why even pretend the law has any value? he's also a hypocrite because he said he used li mufang as an example, but rejects his use as a scapegoat for the prosecutorial office.
