We do get a mixed feeling about him but I don't think there was enough scenes of him 'loving' her for the audience to like him enough to ship them...
Because she's trying to find out who her murderer is, they show scenes of her before the incident and scenes of them together. They show how he made her fall for her even after she got a fiancé.
Back to present day, she feels like she's suffocating and teleports to her hospital room and witnesses him straggling her....
She slowly realises why he tried to kill her which btw, is a pretty understandable reason from his point of view.
So at the end, you kind of wonder if she is actually the victim here or did she bring this onto herself.
Why do people think that this drama has vampires in it? Last time I checked the only supernatural thing is Jiang Li's spirit and that Chinese angel with blonde hair...

MO YAN! He did it out of revenge.
So he led her on to believe he had feelings for her. Then on her wedding day, they met in that warehouse. She's all happy to see him because she loves him and BAM! He stabs her.
Thats all the spoilers I'm giving, continue watching if u wanna know the details to this whole scheme of his and what happens to them at the end :)

I just looked up William Feng and he didn't appear in this drama. Someone made a mistake. The dude that played Bai Li Han is an actor named Li Chao. I found his name on one of the drama's poster.
